Learning Outcomes: You will be able to demonstrate that you can setup the equipment to do a presentation and then troubleshoot if things go wrong.

Giving the learning opportunity to play around with it and see how it all works. Today I will show you how to set up the equipment & slide show to be able to present it to a group. Connect the equipment & get the slideshow up and running. Safety issues 1. Be mindful as to where you place the equipment and the cords. They can be trip hazards. 2. Also be mindful of your ergonomics and if you do not have a remote be aware of the distance as to where you put the laptop place yourself. Equipment 1. Laptop 2. Power Cord 3. Mouse 4. USB 5. Data Projector 6. Power Cord 7. Project and computer attachment cord 8. Remote control 9. Wall / Screen Set up equipment 1. Place all equipment in the area you are to present from 2. Getting the equipment set up 1. If equipment is not set up connect all cords from the computer to the projector. 2. Turn computer on 3. Turn projector on 4. Wait until the computer loads up to the main page 5. If using a portable computer and projector, press F5 to make the picture appear on the wall 6. Open your PowerPoint presentation 7.
