3 I. What is the purpose of this social map? The social map focuses on youth development in the Franschhoek Valley, including the areas of the township in Franschhoek: Groendal, Mooiwater and Langrug, and the farms rendering youth services. The social map is a tool that provides information about all the youth organizations operating in the Franschhoek Valley. The main objective is to make the information available and avoid double work as well as to improve the referring process between the different youth organizations. This social map also facilitates a structured communication, cooperation and networking platform between the different partners in youth development, aimed at networking as a result. Every six months all the organizations involved will have to meet on the initiative of the Franschhoek Youth House to update the social map and implement all the possible changes, such as new programs, changed contact details etc. This can be done via or phone. The Youth House will be responsible for the coordination of the updating process and will be assisted and supervised regarding the layout and the printing of the document by the Stellenbosch Municipality All the youth organizations involved in this project will receive a social map. This document will be available for all interested people and stakeholders in the Franschhoek Youth House as well as in office in the Mooiwater building, the Franschhoek Information Centre and at the doctors offices and clinics. 3
