6 CAC Early College Program Get an early start to college and earn FREE college credits by taking CAC classes starting at the end of the sophomore year. Only 7 credits are allowed during the summer but there is no limit during the school year. To join the CAC Early College Program (earning college credits while still in high school), you must complete the following steps: 1. Complete an Early College Application. 2. Complete the College Placement Test in reading, writing and math. No SAT or ACT required. 3. Meet with a CAC academic advisor to review scores and select courses. 4. Enroll in CPD 101 (1 credit Orientation to Student Development) 5. Submit a completed course registration form to the Records Office. 6. Attend the required Early College Orientation session. Taking classes at CAC starts your college GPA so take these classes seriously. Not following any of these steps, will make you ineligible for the FREE tuition and you will be billed for classes taken. College level classes can be transferred to in-state universities and give you dual credit at your high school. Classes transfer to In State Universities (outside universities you must check) Dual credit earned (Any English, science, elective) Elem.
