How to Become a TCHS Class of 2017 Grad 9
YOU can begin preparing already in 8th grade! How? 10
Four Simple Steps Work to your God-given potential. Take seriously your teachers suggestions and/or comments. Continue to work on refining your study skills. Approach the placement test with an attitude of SUCCESS. 11
Because you don t want to be in this next category: If a student fails first or second semester of math or English in eighth grade, Timothy Christian High School will require the student to make up this deficiency through an accredited program: summer school, online, or correspondence school. This accredited program must be pre-approved by the high school registrar. Failure to do so may result in a decision to deny the student admission to Timothy Christian High School. 12
Challenged and engaged in learning 13
Not overwhelmed 14
To be successful in high school, you should establish a good balance. 15

Guidelines Other than 0 hour, any blank space will be considered a study hall (or Guided Study). No student may have more than 3 semester study halls. Please enter both semester 1 and semester 2 of full year courses into the appropriate areas of the schedule grid and any single semester classes, using the list in the next column. 38
Placement will be subject to grades received during 8 th grade, achievement and placement test scores, and student s study skills. The level (kind of math or, where applicable, Bas/Reg/Acc/Honors) may not be what was originally selected. The parent will be contacted during the summer if the registrar has questions. 39
This is not a schedule. Student is registering only for the courses, not for the semester when taken nor for the period of the day. No school master schedule is perfect. Pending scheduling issues with the student s requests, it is helpful for the registrar to have true alternative courses (not just from regular to honors or accelerated, for example) from which to choose, should there be scheduling conflicts. Please list below in order of choice
