Click here: INTRODUCTION Welcome to the first annual Making Connections: Neuropsychological Assessment Applications with Individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing conference website. Hosted by the Gallaudet University Department of Psychology, the conference is created for the purpose of bringing together professionals in the field of deafness psychology already trained or have a developing interest in neuropsychological assessment interventions. Researchers in the (hearing) field continue to identify neuropsychological bases for behavior; thus, psychological service providers serving individuals who are D/deaf hard of hearing have long understood the importance of recognizing this the conference will provide a conduit for disseminating sharing state-of-the-art information, research, assessment practices, intervention strategies relevant to the population. Neuropsychology Conference Committee Department of Psychology Gallaudet University CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION There is a single registration fee for the main conference that runs from Friday through Saturday. On Friday morning, we are pleased to have Dr. Peter Hauser delivering the keynote address. Friday, November 14: The workshops are separated into two tracks: Track I Introduction to Assessment with Deaf Individuals Track II Principles Assessment. There will be a wine cheese social event sponsored by Gallaudet University's Enrollment Management General Studies program on Friday evening. Gallaudet University is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Gallaudet University maintains responsibility for this program its content. At the conclusion of each session during the Friday Saturday workshops, attendees will receive their CEU certificates for that particular session. Attendees must be present for the entire session in order to receive the CEU certificates. Conference attendees who participate in the entire Friday through Saturday convention may earn up to 12 CEU hours.
