1 SAMPO New York State Association of Municipal Purchasing Officials To All Conference Participants: 9 th Annual Fall Western Conference Seneca Niagara Conference Center / Hotel The SAMPO Board is once again pleased to sponsor the 9 th Annual Western New York Fall Conference at the Seneca Niagara Conference Center / Hotel in Niagara Falls, New York! If you have been fortunate enough to attend this event in the past you are aware of the exceptional education and networking opportunities there are available at the Conference. For returning attendees there will be new classes never offered at the conference before, so register early. For first time attendees we will cover the spectrum of basic training tools to advanced classes on how to add value to your organization through procurement. These include a keynote speaker on Procurement globally and locally, classes on Fundamentals and Foundations of Purchasing, Leveraging Social Media in Municipal Purchasing and How to Administer the MWBE requirements under the governor s program. Our last session on Friday will deal with the recent changes to GML 103 regarding piggybacking clarified by the Assembly and Senate. On Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday October 17 you will have the opportunity to visit with the vendors who will be on hand to showcase their products and services. Each vendor activity comes with its own set of incentives to attend so please plan to attend all activities if possible. Your registration includes a welcome reception, breakfast and lunch Thursday and Breakfast Friday. It also includes a hospitality suite each night and the Conference reception Thursday night, a local food and wine event hosted by the Niagara Culinary Institute.
