2 We re running WILD in the Zoo to support the critical work of Miami YFC with at-risk youth in our neighborhoods. The Miami Wild Run & Fun Walk is a Certified 5K Run and a Fun Walk! Enjoy a gorgeous 5K through Zoo Miami, special entertainment with your team, employees, and family. It s a whole day at ZOO MIAMI! The best part? It all benefits Miami YFC and helps thousands of kids-at-risk. 3 MIAMI YOUTH FOR CHRIST reaches out to children and teens in Miami with 5 unique methods of outreach in multiple locations, resulting in 35 after school and evening programs each week. THE CATALYST PROGRAM reaches out to teens and young adults in the Hip-hop culture, providing a safe, legal venue for graffiti art, break dancing, deejay lessons and emcee battles. Large events and practice nights provide a positive environment with adult mentors. CAMPUS LIFE mentors high school & college students through clubs offering character and faith lessons with fun activities to promote healthy social and spiritual balance, as well as attending seasonal camps with teenagers around the country. MIAMI YOUTH LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE (MYLI) is a training program for church youth leaders to be more effective at reaching youth inside and outside the church walls. KIX AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS reach disadvantaged children and teens. Elementary students receive homework assistance, character lessons and fitness activities 5 days per week. The middle and high school clubs offer evening programs, special events and camps. JUVENILE JUSTICE OUTREACH serves various residential facilities where Miami teens are living because they have been abandoned, abused, arrested or are at-risk.
