5 PTO NEWS Dear Lynn Haven Families, This year has gotten off to a wonderful start! Last year s goal of providing new computers in the classrooms is almost met! We are excited that with funds raised last year, our PTO has purchased and is awaiting the delivery of 26 new computers for classrooms! As it begins to get cooler, we are taking orders for long sleeve uniform shirts. This will be on a first come first serve basis as we plan to phase out our current design and look at a new one for the future. So, we will not be ordering new long sleeve shirts. We plan to offer what we have remaining. The shirts come in youth sizes small, medium and large and are $15.00 each. Order forms will be available in the front office. Our annual cookie dough fundraiser kicked off on October 16, The children were greeted with an exciting presentation from our cookie dough representative, Angie Taylor. The orders have been turned in and the cookie dough will be delivered on November 14, 2012! This fundraiser will help us move toward our goals to improve our school in the coming year! The Halloween Boo Grams have been a huge hit this year and we are extremely pleased with the support you have given your PTO while sending a nice treat to your child! Don t forget that you can order a Birthday Gram, a Smiley Gram or a Shout Out at any time throughout the year! These forms are available in the front office. The Smiley and Birthday Grams are delivered to your child in their classroom with a scented pencil, a Smencil. These cost $1.00. The Shout Outs are $1.00 or you can spend $2.00 and a picture of your child to LynnHavenPTO@gmail.com and get your child s sweet smile featured on the T.V.! Please don t forget that you can still join PTO. Membership is open all year and is a fee of $5.00. Your membership fee helps us to fund the different recognition programs around the school as well as giving you a vote in the spending of money raised and the election of board members. Being a member of PTO doesn t take a large time commitment. We hope that you can give some time and volunteer around the school from time to time, but we understand that not everyone has the extra time to help. Don t let that stop you from joining. You can be very proud knowing that your membership has provided the opportunity to do great things in your child s school! Remember, you can reach the LHES PTO anytime, day or night at LynnHavenPTO@gmail.com Your PTO Board Members wish you and yours a happy and safe Holiday Season!
