10 PosteItaliane selects XMediusFAX SP in handling heavy fax-load. The Client: Poste Italiane is the leading operator in Italy in the postal services area: mail collection and delivery, printed matter and parcels, telegrams, express mail and online services. It is an innovative, competitive operator in the area of financial and payment services: post office current accounts, post office savings accounts, post office interest-bearing bonds, national and international money orders, currency exchange services. The Challenge: Italian Post decides to upgrade to a new fax solution that would: - Be boardless (not require expensive fax boards) - Provide a cost effective T38 Fax Over IP (FoIP) solution to integrate with its environment. - ROI within 3-6 months Cost savings of at least 40% since manual faxing expenses (ie: analog POTS line, toner, paper, specialised hardware) are no longer required - Substantially increase the fax success rate and client satisfaction, while reducing the amount of administration time required to manage the fax process.

11 The solution: Italian Post chooses integration with Exchange 2007 Receives or sends your fax like Hundred of users send a fax from their desktop through their mail-box. Users enabled to use fax server facilities will have a dedicated fax-number associated to an address. In case of fax reception, the fax server will find out the address of the destination user based on the fax-number. It will then interface the proper server to send to that address a mail with the fax attached. The connection between the Analog Fax machine is analog but the ATA box converts it in FoIP (Fax Over IP).
