2 INVITATION TO 6 th INAS World Tennis Championships Mont-de-Marsan - France 17 th to 22 th June 2014 Dear sports friends, The Organising Committee supported by FFSA, the Fédération Française du Sport Adapté and INAS the International Federation for Sport for para-athletes with an Intellectual Disability, have the pleasure to invite you to the 6 th INAS World Tennis Championship to be held in Mont-de- Marsan Reims, France, on next 17 th to 22 th June Below here is the following information: - Registration fee including capitation tax per person, accommodation from Tuesday night 17 th until Sunday 22 th June after lunch and the registration fee to the competition itself: 500 euros per person. - Transportation will be provided from airport to Mont-de Marsan on Tuesday 17 th and from Mont de Marsan to airports. - Eligibility of athletes: all participants should be eligible and be registered on the INAS Master List. 5 5. AIRLINES The local organizer plans to book vehicles to allow each delegation to be independent. 6. SPORTS COMPETITION FACILITIES The competition will take place at the STADE MONTOIS TENNIS (Sport Center) 7. ACCOMMODATION and MEALS Hôtel First Classe B&B hotel Campanile ZA Mamoura 111 Allée Mamoura 1410 Avenue du Maréchal Juin 71 allée Mamoura , SAINT AVIT MONT-DE-MARSAN SAINT AVIT The hotels are situated 10 minutes away from the tennis club house by car. Booking directly will be done by the organization team. Lunches and Dinners will be served at the tennis club A Gala Dinner will be organized on Saturday 8. CEREMONIES AND SOCIAL PROGRAMME: An opening ceremony will be taking place. All participating countries are required to bring three national flags and CD of their National Anthem. Details of the social programme will be announced later on. 9. ACCREDITATION: Accreditation cards will be issued to each athlete only after he/she has personally shown his/her valid passport to the Event Eligibility Officer. Accreditation will also be provided to staff and other officials on registration, with passport. 10. LANGUAGE: English is the official language of Inas and the event. All information will be available in English. 9. SPORTS RULES AND REGULATIONS The competition is governed by the rules of INAS with the approved adjustments for players with an intellectual disability - The finals of the tournament are played with 2 winning sets. Should the score be 1:1, there is the big tiebreak played with 10 winning points to decide. - All matches of qualification and in the final draw are played with one set. Should the score be 6:6, there is tiebreak played with 7 winning points. One player can play 5 sets maximum in one day. - The match for the 3rd place will be played like qualification matches. Ultimate playing system will be adapted according the number of players in the appropriate category. Final decision will be made by the organization team with the participating team managers. 10. MEDICAL SERVICE The organization team will provide health service for first aid and in case of injury. The organizer recommends that all participants have health and accident insurance from their own country. A physician will be present on site to overview the medical staff. 11. ANTI-DOPING CONTROLS ANTI-DOPING checks will be implemented in accordance with WADA regulation. 12. 7 Team Competition According to the INAS guidelines and in order to encourage nations to participate, the INAS World Championships will have both individual and team competition per sex (male and female). In the Team Competition each competing nation only is classified one (1) athlete per event (the best classified in the individual competition). Only nations with a minimum of 3 participant s athletes per sex are eligible to participate in the Team Competition of this sex (male or female). The classification system for Team Competition is: n points for 1st classified; n-1 points for 2nd classified; n-2 points for 3rd classified, and so on for other places, where (n) is the number of nations eligible for participation in the Team Competition per sex. Example: Male Competition, 12 participating countries 1 st 12 points 2 nd 11 points 3 rd 10 points th 1 point 13. PARTICIPANTS No limit number of participants per country. 14. ELIGIBILITY To be eligible to compete, athletes must appear as active in the Inas Master List no later than the final entry deadline, May 26 th ENTRY FEE The entry fee is 500 euros per person which includes accommodation, catering, and local transport. The first meal is the evening meal on Tuesday 17 th June; the last one is lunch on Sunday 22 th June. Payment is to be made in Euro.
