2 Invitation Dear Colleagues, th The 13 European Meeting of the International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH) is being held in St.Petersburg, Russia from September 12 to 14, The Meeting is organized by the Adolescent Medicine Department of the St.Petersburg Medical Academy of Post-graduate Studies and the Adolescentfriendly Clinics Training and Methodological Center, and supported by UNICEF Russia. The Meeting's main focus of the is Adolescent-friendly health services (medicosocial and psychological approach). Today it's the most promising area in adolescents' health care, exemplifying the practical cross-sectoral cooperation between health care providers, psychologists, social workers, NGOs, and, what is extremely important, the adolescents and young people themselves. Meeting participants will be given an opportunity to become acquainted with the practical experience of the biggest in Russia Juventa youth clinic. The achievements of St.Petersburg in developing a network of youth clinics has been recognized by WHO experts as one of the most successful. The Meeting is being held at the Medical Academy of Post-graduate Studies, known world wide as an education institution specializing on post-graduate education for medical specialists, that has worked for more than more than 120 years. The city of St.Petersburg is rightly considered as Russia's cultural capital. In September our city is especially beautiful, being in the season of the Golden Autumn. We welcome you to St.Petersburg! Plenary Session Plenary sessions will comprise of presentations by invited speakers on a theme defined as a main meeting's topic. Parallel Session Parallel sessions will consist of oral presentations by abstracts authors (10- minute presentations with 5-minute Q&A period). The aim is to build a body of evidence on a topic by drawing on the research or experience of the presenters. Poster Session In addition to oral presentations, abstract submitters will have the opportunity to present their submissions as posters. These sessions will feature poster presentations of abstracts, facilitating oneon-one interaction between the presenter and the audience. Authors will be expected to be with their posters during the scheduled time to answer questions. Official Language Official Languages of the meeting will be English and Russian. Simultaneous translation will be provided.

8 Call for Abstracts Introduction th The 13 meeting of IAAH invites authors to submit abstracts for presentations on all areas related to AFHS and other main topics of the Meeting. Deadline Abstracts will be accepted until 15 April Accepted presenters will be notified in May Submission Guidelines All submitters who are accepted, must register and pay the conference registration fee. No more than 2 abstracts will be accepted per primary author. The maximum size of an abstract is limited to 2,200 characters (including spaces). Abstracts must be submitted in English. Abstract Content The title should be capitalized. Maintain consistency in authors' names on multiple abstracts to avoid duplication in the final program book's Author Index. The presenting author name should be listed first and underlined. The abstract should ideally adhere to the following format with some flexibility for "commentary" type abstracts: A. Introduction and objectives; B. Methods; C. Results; D. Conclusions. Abstracts not received in proper format will not be considered by the Program Committee.

9 All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and evaluated by members of the Scientific Committee. The final decision of acceptance will be made by the Scientific and Executive Committee. By submitting your abstract, you allow the conference organizers to publish your abstract in electronic and paper format, once your abstract has been accepted. Please note that the organizers and editors reserve the right to reject any abstracts that do not meet the requirements of the conference. Organizers are not obliged to accept or publish any abstract submitted. Tours All abstracts must be submitted by St.Petersburg holds rich opportunities for sightseeing and leisure activities, both for individuals and groups. Additional information on available tours will be provided to the Meeting participants at a later date.
