2 WELCOME MESSAGE Dear Colleagues, We have the great pleasure to invite you to the 35 th Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Biological Psychiatry, which will take place on 28 th August 2015 in Geneva. The 2015 Meeting will focus on Novel Treatment Strategies in Psychiatry: Neurobiology and Clinical Significance. We will have the privilege to attend five keynote lectures given by Prof. Dr. Kim Do Cuénod (CHUV Lausanne), Prof. Thomas Dierks (Psychiatric University Hospital Bern), Prof. Luc Mallet (University Hospitals Geneva), Prof. Erich Seifritz (Psychiatric University Hospital Zürich) and Prof. Andreas Papassotiropoulos (University of Basel). We thank them in advance for their highly esteemed contributions. The program also features oral presentations and a poster session; we hope that the subject of Novel Treatment Strategies in Psychiatry: Neurobiology and Clinical Significance will prompt many among you to actively participate in these presentations. All other details regarding the course of the Meeting can be found on the program below. 6 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION 1. Deadline for abstract submission: Monday 6 th July Abstracts should sent by and in Word format to secretariat francine.gendre@hcuge.ch 3. The presenting author should be underlined and will serve as corresponding author. 4. The authors can present either a poster or an oral communication. Please indicate your preference when submitting the abstract. 5. In case of numerous oral communications, the organizing committee will select the abstracts for oral or poster presentations. The authors will be informed of the decision of the committee when and if needed. 6. The abstract must be written in UK English - font: Arial All accepted abstracts will be included in the abstract book of the Meeting. 8. The abstract body should not exceed 500 words. The whole document must not exceed one A4 page. 9. The abstract should be structured as follows: - Title - Authors - of corresponding / presenting author - Affiliations - Body of abstract (background, methods, results & conclusion are suggested but not compulsory headings) 10. To promote research in the field of biological psychiatry in Switzerland, the SSBP will award CHF 1 '000, CHF 750 and CHF 500 to the three best posters presented at the 35 th Annual Meeting that contribute to the advancement of the treatment and understanding of biological backgrounds of mental disorders. The awards will be delivered during the Meeting (14:00-14:30). The awardees will be contacted prior to the Award Ceremony. Please indicate if you wish to apply for poster awards when submitting the abstract.
