2 V E N U E S CEREMONY & RECEPTION THE LOTUS GARDEN PRE-DINNER DRINKS Set in the heart of the rainforest surrounded by lily ponds, the Lotus Garden is a private and tranquil ceremony area. The Lotus garden is perfect for smaller groups and up to 120 guests. (seated and standing). Celebrate with signature cocktails and flowing Champagne on The Lawn or Rainforest Verandah. Enjoy roving canapés, a charcuterie bar with an abundance of local cheeses and meats or a vibrant and fresh sashimi bar. The perfect start for a day to remember. THE LAWN RECEPTION Take advantage of the lush, green subtropical rainforest. The Lawn is located within the central facilities of the resort and is sunbathed by mid-afternoon. Great for larger groups of up to 120 guests. Rainforest Verandah (up to 70 guests seated, 120 cocktail style) Capture the essence of romance on the candlelit verandah with the tranquil rainforest backdrop. The Rainforest Verandah is a private dining space with set up options including cocktail style, a long banquet table or banquet rounds. BOLLI POINT Overlooking the majestic wetlands and Tallow Lake, Bolli Point is an intimate location for a small ceremony. Maximum guest numbers of 20. Price on application. Tallow Creek Room (up to 120 guests seated) TALLOW BEACH A versatile space, the perfect canvas for your imagination. The Tallow Creek Room can seat up to 120 guests and can be transformed into the ideal wedding reception complimenting any theme. Includes stage and dancefloor. Walk with sand beneath your toes on the sweeping shores of Tallow Beach with the iconic lighthouse in the background. With direct access from the resort, if you have ever dreamt of a beach ceremony, this is the spot for you. 4 VENUE HIRE Venue hire fees apply for exclusive access to ceremony and reception areas. $7,000 peak season; minimum of 50pax (September - April) $6,000 negotiable low season; minimum of 30pax (May - August) A food and beverage minimum spend of $180 per person applies Flexible venue hire rates may be available for weekday weddings (Monday Thursday). Weddings are unavailable over long weekends and public holidays. Full venue hire applies for beach ceremonies. If you have a special offsite ceremony location in mind, venue hire rates for your reception are available on application. 6 THEMING & SUPPLIERS We work with a number of suppliers in the area and have shortlisted the best for you. Please refer to our preferred supplier list for theming and styling options for your wedding ceremony and reception. Your wedding coordinator will liaise with all third party suppliers to arrange delivery, set up and pack down. Supplier and theming access commences from 9am on the morning of your wedding day. Should you require additional access time, please see below rates. Early access to ceremony and/or reception areas are subject to availability and must be booked at the time of confirming your wedding. Entire Function Space (from midday, the day prior to the wedding $2,000) Entire Function Space (from 6.00pm the night prior to wedding $500) Half Function Space (from midday, the day prior to wedding $1,000) Half Function Space (from 6.00pm the night prior to wedding $300) Rainforest Verandah and Lotus Garden (price on application) All items must be collected no later than 12 noon the day after your wedding. The Byron at Byron does not take responsibility for lost or damaged items. The finer details: Place cards, bonbonniere, wishing well, centrepieces and any additional theming items as well as the setup of these items, must be arranged by the client. Menu printing can be arranged with The Byron at Byron for $2.00 per menu including colour printing on gold shimmer card. We request that wishing wells and gifts be removed from the reception area at the conclusion of the evening. The resort will not store gifts or envelopes or be liable for their whereabouts. Due to the natural wildlife that inhabit the resort, no rice, glitter or confetti can be used. BEACH WEDDINGS The resort offers access to Tallow Beach, and for the perfect beach ceremony we work with Beautiful Weddings. Contact details: T We recommend arranging a bus or shuttle service to and from Tallow Beach for your guests. Location: Tallow Beach, Alcorn Street, Suffolk Park Access via last carpark, north of Beachside Drive. W ET O R H A Z A R D O U S W E AT H E R Rain, hail or shine In the unfortunate event of inclement weather, The Byron at Byron management reserves the right to relocate your ceremony and outdoor events. This applies to any outdoor areas such as the Lotus Garden, The Lawn or Tallow Beach. A wet weather decision will be made 3 hours prior to setup time. Your Wedding Coordinator will discuss a wet weather back up plan in the lead up to your wedding. Please note, costs associated with a beach ceremony are non-refundable should wet weather occur on the day of your wedding. -6-

7 MUSIC & CURFEWS The Tallow Creek Room Band and/or DJ is permitted. Music must conclude by 11pm. The Rainforest Verandah / The Lawn / Lotus Garden Acoustic music OR ipod docking station only. Music must conclude by 10.30pm and volumes will be managed by operational staff. For Rainforest Verandah receptions, a dance floor can be arranged inside the Tallow Creek room and allow for a band and/or DJ when doors are closed. Music must conclude by 11pm. Please refer to our preferred supplier list for recommended entertainment. AUDIO VISUAL For all your Audio Visual requirements please contact our AV supplier Myles AV. We offer the bridal couple a complimentary wedding night stay and special wedding rates for your guests. The Byron at Byron enables you to reserve a room block for your wedding guests. We request a minimum booking of 10% based on your guest numbers. (eg: 100 guests = 10 rooms). Once you have paid your first 25% deposit our reservations team will hold the rooms for your wedding. Please note, unreserved rooms will be released 30 days prior to arrival to avoid cancellation fees. FOOD & BEVERAGE The Byron at Byron operates a liquor license in effect until midnight. Service of alcoholic beverages will conclude at this time. No outside catering or BYO beverages are permitted. GETTING THERE Traveling to Byron Bay is easy. Ballina Airport is only a 25 minute drive from the resort and the alternative Gold Coast Airport is only a 55 minute drive from the North. International guests can arrive via Brisbane or Gold Coast Airports. The Byron at Byron recommends Xcede Transfers for all your transfer needs. PARKING The resort offers complimentary parking for up to 60 guests. For weddings over 60 guests, we recommend booking a shuttle service or a bus to drop guests to and from the resort. -7-

8 C O N F I R M AT I O N & DEPOSIT SCHEDULE 90 days prior to wedding date: A further 25% deposit of the estimated wedding and accommodation costs to be received. 60 days prior to wedding date: A further 25% deposit of the estimated wedding and accommodation costs to be received. 7 days prior to wedding date: Final invoice to be paid in full and final numbers advised to your Wedding Coordinator. For guarantee of incidentals a credit card will be requested. A credit card surcharge of 1.8% applies. In the event of a cancellation, the initial deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation within 30 days of your wedding date, a 100% cancellation fee applies. All cancellations must be received in writing.
