3 Caltrans DIME Program WEDNESDAY PRESENTATION Behavior Based Safety at Oldcastle Precast Joe Malato, Regional Environment, Health & Safety Manager Western Region, Oldcastle Precast This presentation will cover the Oldcastle Precast Behavior Based safety program including the basics of behavior based safety, program implementation at Oldcastle and its effect on safety within Oldcastle. FRIDAY PRESENTATIONS New vs. Old Permit in the Precast Concrete Industry Terry Balog President Frog Environmental California Storm Water Management and Treatment Consultants, Frog Env Inc., services all of California with over 13 years of expertise in Industrial Stormwater Permits, including Permit application Notice of Intent, SWPPP and Monitoring Plan development, and other aspects of Industrial Stormwater Consulting. Keith Hoffman, Sacramento Branch Chief, Caltrans DIME is the acronym for Data Interchange for Materials Engineering. DIME is a web application developed by the California Department of Transportation, Materials Engineering & Testing Services (METS) to allow material testing laboratories the ability to easily submit sample information and test data to Caltrans' database via the internet. Why Work with California Department of Corrections Dean Borg, Deputy Director, and Keith Beland, Associate Director, Project Management Branch, California Department of Corrections This presentation will provide an overview of CDCR s construction program, upcoming bidding opportunities, and the reasons why contractors and subcontractors want to bid and work on CDCR s construction projects. Dean Borg, Deputy Director of Facility Planning, Construction and Management currently serves as the Acting Deputy Director of the Facility Planning, Construction and Management Division of the CDCR where he administers the Department s statewide capital outlay planning and budget process and manages the design, construction and renovation of prison facilities. Keith M. Beland, Associate Director of the Project Management Branch has over twenty years of professional California State Civil Service experience. Thirteen of those years have been spent with California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation's (CRCR) Facility, Planning and Construction Management Division in the capacity of managing Capital Outlay Programs (Minor, Major, Special Repair), including the design and construction of large, complex multimillion dollar programs driven by inmate class action litigation.

Take the second Truckee Exit, Highway 89 south. After 8 miles south on Highway 89, turn right at the stop light onto Squaw Valley Road where the Olympic rings and torches are located. Follow Squaw Valley Road two miles. The road will make a sweeping left turn and just ahead is the ski area. Turn right at the stop sign onto Squaw Peak Road, located between the Cable Car building and PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn. Squaw Valley Lodge is just ahead on the left side of the street.
