2 Emerging Trends in Human Resource Management INTRODUCTION The word of work is changing rapidy. The poitica, economic, socia and technoogica environment is aso evoving very fast and impacting business and manageria perspectives. As an important component of business, Human Resource Management (HRM) function must be prepared to dea with the effects of such change. It has to understand the impications of gobaization, competition, changing ski requirements, corporate downsizing, re-engineering and needs to come up with innovative practices to bring about continuous improvement in the HRM systems and enhance empoyee engagement. Facuty members teaching in management institutions, especiay in the areas of organizationa behaviour and Human resource management, must stay in tune with the contemporary deveopments and innovative practices in the fied of HRM, so that they can bring about the necessary changes in their course curricuum. An updated knowedge base aso heps the facuty to prepare their students to face the corporate word effectivey. We wish to deveop a knowedge bank of ideas, innovative concepts, and path-breaking practices through active interaction with academicians, industry practitioner sand researchers during this FDP. OBJECTIVE The objectives of the two days facuty deveopment program are- To keep facuty members abreast of the contemporary changes taking pace in the areas of organizationa behaviour and Human resource management. To create a earning patform where experts from academics and industry woud share their viewson these issues. Research Schoars pursuing their M.Phi. and Ph.D. in these areas can aso benefit a ot by attending this program. Young HR professionas can aso attend this program.

Fee is payabe in advance by the way of Loca cheque/dd in favor of FORE Schoo of Management payabe at New Dehi. PROGRAMME DIRECTOR & CO-PROGRAMME DIRECTOR Prof. Sanghamitra Buddhapriya: Professor in the area of Organizationa Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She is a PhD from Facuty of management Studies, University of Dehi. She received the prestigious Shastri-Indo Canadian Facuty Research Feowship and did her Post-Doctora research from Mc Master University, Hamiton, Canada. She has more than twenty years of experience in research and teaching at the post-graduation eve of Management Education. She has authored two books and many of her research papers are pubished in Nationa and Internationa Journas. Some of her areas of research & training are work ife baance, gender sensitivity, diversity management, coaching & mentoring issues, psychometric testing etc. She conducts wide range of training programs for eading Pubic and Private Sector organizations. She can be reached at sanghamitra@fsm.ac.in. Prof. Prachi Bhatt: Associate Professor in the area of Organizationa Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She is a Ph.D. and Masters in Human Resource Management (God Medaist). She is certified in Negotiation Research and Teaching from Keogg Schoo of Management, Evanston, Iinois, USA. She has around eight years of experience in research and teaching that covers projects and MDPs for reputed pubic and private sector Indian organizations. She has to her credit research papers pubished in nationa and Internationa refereed journas. Her areas of teaching and research interest are Negotiation, Changing HRD paradigm, HR effectiveness in Organizations, Competency Mapping, Psychometrics and the aied areas.
