5 New Zealand Society for Risk Management Pre conference ½ day workshop 5 September 2012 Best dressed Risk Management: Applying AS/NZS ISO through extended bow-tie analysis Presenter: Chris Peace, Risk Management Wednesday 5 September ½ day workshop preceding conference 1:00 pm - 3:00pm This interactive workshop will take participants through the risk management process set out in AS/NZS ISO 31000: 2009 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines. The technique of bow-tie analysis will be used to show how key risk management terms are applied, and to visualise risks from the external context through to impacts on objectives. Other risk management techniques (including the consequence/likelihood matrix) will be mentioned but not explored in detail. The workshop is intended for those who have recently started working in risk management or who need a different way of thinking about risk. Participants should bring a copy of AS/NZS ISO to the workshop (bow-ties optional!).
