2 Tournament Information Denmark Wheelchair Rugby Challenge 2013 Event Dates 4h 10th June 2013 Tournament: June 7 th to 9 th, 2013 Classification: June 5 th & 6 th, 2013 Team training: June 5 th & 6 th, 2013 Arrival: June 4 th, 2013 (only meal this day is dinner) Departure: June 10 th, 2013 (only meal this day is breakfast) Venue Stadium Arena Fyn Ørbækvej Odense SØ Denmark The event will be hosted at the venue called Stadium Arena Fyn which is located in the City of Odense, approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Copenhagen Airport. The venue is located right next to the hotel. The venue will be available for teams for storage of equipment from Tuesday June 4th, 2013 from noon and until Monday June 10th, 2013 until noon. Teams and equipment arriving in to Copenhagen Airport will be picked up and taken directly to the venue. Hotel information Hotel Odense Congress Center Ørbækvej Odense Sø Denmark Phone: The hotel has 102 bright rooms, which welcomes you at Odense Congress Center. Their comfortable rooms allow you space for relaxation as well as work with good desks and comfortable armchairs. Its unique location ensures that you are always close to the conference, trade fair, meeting or event, which has brought you to Odense. Your car can rest safely throughout the night in their parking lot, while you are warm and comfortable in your sleep in our good beds. Next morning, the restaurant offers you a delicious breakfast buffet to prepare you for the day s experiences. 2

3 Their reception is staffed round-the-clock, of course so if you need help, they are ready with a smile and a solution to your problem. The hotel is only a comfortable 2 minutes wheel from the competition venue. Transportation Transport will be provided between Copenhagen airport and the host hotel. In order to access transport services, flights must arrive on Tuesday, June 4 th and depart on Monday, June 10 h. Teams arriving earlier then June 4 th and departing later than June 10 th will have to make arrangement with the hotel for storage of equipment as well as arranging their own transport to and from the airport. Be aware that this will be an additional cost for the team. The LOC can provide contact to a transport company. Please show respect to our hosts and sponsors by remaining for the awards ceremonies and banquet on Sunday evening. The hotel is within easy wheeling distance of the venue. Transport will not be provided between the hotel and venue and city center. The hotel has free private parking. In case your team wishes to go by car to Odense, please feel free to do so. Please indicate on the entry form whether the team arrives by plane or by car. Entry fee The Registration Fee for this full-service tournament is EUR 1400 per person and includes the following: Six nights accommodation at the 4 STAR Hotel Odense Congress Center (arriving Tuesday, June 4 th departing Monday, June 10 th ) All meals (healthy breakfast buffet and warm and healthy lunch and dinner buffet all served at the hotel) Tournament welcome package Awards banquet (Sunday evening, June 9 th ) Transport (Airport Transfers) Volunteer support at Copenhagen Airport if your team arrives by plane International classification panel Wheelchair repair station (user-pay) The registration fee is based on double occupancy in each hotel room. Any additional night s accommodation and meals will be an extra charge and on own arrangement with the hotel. Single rooms are available for an additional cost. Fee for transferring money from your bank to our bank must be paid by your organisation. Accreditation All athletes and staff will be provided with official accreditation for the event, which must be presented at all meals, and special events. Insurance All participating nations must arrange medical and accident insurance for the entire length of their stay. The insurance should cover all competitors and staff. Rules IWRF Rules and Regulations will govern the Denmark Wheelchair Rugby Challenge The tournament will be sanctioned by IWRF Teams 8-team tournament The Top 7 Teams on the current IWRF World Ranking List who register and pay by the February 15 th Deadline will be accepted. One spot is reserved for Team Denmark. Other national teams will be invited as well as put on a waiting list. Only teams which have paid the entry fee by the deadline will be accepted on the tournament. Competition Format There will be two pools of four teams each. A round robin format will be used, followed by crossover games, medal rounds and play-offs for 5/6,7/8 positions. Doping control Please be advised that this event is subject to drug testing in accordance with the policies and procedures of Anti Doping Denmark and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations. 4

5 Required Information, Entry fee & Deadlines The Danish Organizing Committee for the Denmark Wheelchair Rugby Challenge 2013 would like to receive confirmation of your team s registration and intent to participate by 15 th February Please complete and submit the 1 st Entry Form by the 15 th February 2013 deadline and send it to bent.gaarsted@dhif.dk The entry fee covers transport between Copenhagen Airport and Odense, accommodation, all meals and farewell party. EUR 2800 per team must be transferred to our bank account no later than the deadline for the first entry form. i.e. 15 th February,

6 Deadlines The Organizing Committee for the test event will continuously sent out entry forms and information letters for the event.
