2 Dear Grand Masters, Masters, Instructors and Students, We are honoured to invite you to the 113rd/114th International Instructor Course to be held in Paris, the capital city of France. The IIC will be held over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of November 2016 and will be conducted by the ITF Technical Committee consisting of: Grand Master Hector Marano, IX degree, Argentina Grand Master Ung Kim Lan, IX degree, Germany Master Paul McPhail, VIII degree, New Zealand The venue will be at INSEP (Institut National du Sport et de l'éducation Physique) which is the French national sports teacher training institute and the base for many French national sporting and martial arts teams. The event is open to all ITF members from 1st degree to 9th degree. Accommodation will be available both on the INSEP campus as well as in hotels in the surrounding area. Participant places at the IIC and rooms at INSEP are very limited so please book early to guarantee places. Meals may be taken at the INSEP canteen which provides healthy balanced food prepared for athletes. The event is organised by ITF France with the local assistance of ITF Paris. 4 IIC Information Venue The IIC will take place at INSEP ( which is located at: 11 Avenue du Tremblay Paris France LIABILITY: Neither INSEP, ITF France, ITF Paris nor the Organising Committee will be responsible for any injury that might occur during the course. Participants must have adequate insurance that will cover them for all their activities during their stay in France. 4/10

6 Accommodation A limited number of rooms will be available at the INSEP campus so please book early to avoid disappointment. The accommodation packages are fixed at 2 nights (Friday 25th & Saturday 26th November) with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) included. Twin room with two separate beds: 80 per person per night full board (29 rooms available) Single room with one bed: 90 per person per night full board (33 rooms available) All rooms have an en-suite shower and toilet. Please note that only towels and toilet paper are provided in the bathroom so guests should bring their own toiletries such as shower gel and shampoo. There is a cash machine and small shop at the entrance to INSEP where toiletries may be purchased but the opening hours are limited during the weekend. There is no possibility to extend stays at INSEP for more than the fixed 2 nights accommodation. Visitors wishing to come early or stay later for a vacation in Paris should reserve additional nights at a hotel outside INSEP. 6/10

7 Meals and food Meals are included for all guests staying in INSEP accommodation. For participants staying outside INSEP there is an option to purchase lunch coupons for use in the INSEP canteen. The lunch package is for lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. Please select the option for the lunch package in the registration form. There is a cash machine and a small shop at the entrance to the INSEP campus where drinks and snacks may be purchased. Water dispensers will be available in the main training halls during the IIC. Banquet The banquet will be held on the evening of Saturday 26th November in a private room at INSEP and is an opportunity to meet and talk with the Masters and Grand Masters in a relaxed atmosphere. The price will be 45 for 3 courses with drinks (water, wine, coffee and tea) included. Registration for the banquet should be made on the application form. Please dress appropriately and respectfully in the presence of the Masters and Grand Masters (no jeans, t-shirts or trainers). Shirt, tie would be appreciated but smart casual dress at a minimum. 9 Course registration Please download and complete the Excel application form available on the ITF and AETF websites, or request by by writing to: the completed application form to You will receive a response with your IIC registration number, a provisional confirmation of registration and accommodation if requested and the total amount to pay via bank transfer. Registration and accommodation reservations will be held for 4 working days. Once the full amount is received via bank transfer your registration will be confirmed and your accommodation will be booked. You will receive a final confirmation by . IMPORTANT: Due to the limited number of participants places and rooms available, registration and accommodation will only be booked upon receipt of the registration and accommodation fees. No refunds will be made in the event of cancellations or no-shows. The deadline for registration applications is 30th September The deadline for receipt of final payment by bank transfer is 6th October An application should also be made independently to your National Association (NA) or Allied Association in order to register your participation via ITF online. Payment of Fees The following ITF Participation and IIC Organisation fees are stipulated in the ITF By-Laws: 1st to 3rd degree 4th to 6th degree 7th to 9th degree ITF participation fee IIC Organisation fee Banquet (optional) The ITF Participation fee is to be paid in cash during the registration on Friday 25th November. One representative from each school or association should make the payment at the registration desk. Please bring the correct amount of cash to facilitate the registration process. 10 Test for degree promotion Participants wishing to test for degree promotion must: Send the application form through the National/Allied Association at least one month before the promotion date to the ITF Administrative HQ. Bring 5 wooden boards measured 30x30x2 cm (only from 4th to 8th degree). Pay their ITF degree certificate and grading fee in cash one hour prior to the grading. Test for degree promotion will be on Saturday 26th November and the result shall be given directly after the promotion. No spectators are allowed during the degree promotion. The candidate may be accompanied by his/her instructor Important rules Participants must wear a clean and ironed official ITF dobok at all time. Before each new session participants line up in order to welcome the Masters and Grand Masters. After each session participants remain until the Masters and Grand Masters leave the venue. Participants must act according to the principles of Taekwon-Do. Participants standing at ease must assume ready stance with their hands behind the back at all times. Participants sitting at ease must cross their legs at all times and never show the soles of their feet to the Masters and Grand Masters. Participants allowed to ask questions shall stand up at all times and assume ready stance with their hands behind the back. Participants before asking a question shall bow first then announce their name and country. No spectators are allowed during the IIC. Filming and or photographs taken, only if approved by the Chairman of the IIC Committee. The IIC certificate of participation will only be issued to those who have completed the full course.
