2 Course Description Professor Juha Hernesniemi, Professor Vinko Dolenc (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Professor Ali F. Krisht MD (Little Rock, Arkansas) and Professor Ugur Türe MD (Istanbul, Turkey) along with senior, junior and nursing staff will demonstrate different approaches and microsurgical techniques in live operations in various lesions (aneurysms, AVMs, cavernomas, extrinsic and intrinsic tumors and spine surgery). Helsinki Neurosurgery has more than annual operations in four ORs. More information on the department on To celebrate the 10th Live Course in Microsurgery, the course will start with Jubilee Lectures on Sunday June 6. The Jubilee Lectures will take place in lecture hall 1 in Töölö Hospital at 2-6 pm. There will be 6-8 operations per day during the course, i.e operations altogether in three OR s. Professors will discuss the cases and present microsurgical videos between and after operations. The operative schedules runs every day from 8 am to approximately 6 pm. Lunch is served at the Hospital Staff Restaurant daily 3 pm. The Course Dinner is taking place on Tuesday June 8. Fifty (50) neurosurgeons and / or neurosurgery residents can be accommodated for the course. The course fee is Euros (incl. VAT 22 %).
