We look forward to the pleasure of working with you in the near future. Our Executive Chef has designed the banquet menus to provide you with a range of choices. A wide variety of buffets are offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you prefer to customize your menu, please let us know and we can arrange for a meeting to discuss your special requests. 4 WELCOME TO THE HILO HAWAIIAN HOTEL The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel is situated on 5.2 acres of scenic oceanfront land on Waiakea Peninsula overlooking Hilo Bay. This 286-room property is located approximately two miles from Hilo International Airport and the city center, making the hotel conveniently located for guests, and has just undergone a full room renovations. Recipient of many awards, it is currently voted Best of East Hawaii as Best Hotel, Best Receptions & Banquets Rooms facing Hilo Bay feature expansive ocean views, while others frame the beauty of majestic Mauna Kea. All rooms include air conditioning, color cable televisions, lanais, clock radios, inroom refrigerators (in selected categories), high-speed internet access and coffee makers. Hotel amenities include free parking, ice and soft drink dispensers, gift shop, Laundromat, tour guides, massage therapy and other guest services. The renovated Queen s Court Restaurant is located on the lobby level of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. With a square footage of 5,600 feet, it can be used as a private room for luncheon meetings with panoramic views of Hilo Bay. It can also accommodate tours and corporate groups that have food and beverage requirements and offers sweeping views of Mauna Kea, Hilo town and unobstructed ocean views. Executive Chef Khamtan Tanhchaleun oversees this 178-seat restaurant which offers a casual, contemporary atmosphere, beautiful views and delicious, fresh fare. An extensive wine program was introduced by Gregory Arianoff, Wine Director and Food & Beverage Manager, considered to be the best wine list in East Hawaii. Breakfast and dinner are served daily, and Hilo s favorite Seafood and Hawaiian Buffets are offered on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Wai oli Lounge & icafé, situated just off the lobby, is the perfect place for refreshments, cocktails, entertainment and lighter fare. The icafé, offers guests the opportunity to sample locally grown coffees with a French press service, espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, homemade pastries, cookies, and a limited lunch menu. 5 B A N Q U E T F A C I L I T I E S The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel offers the following banquet and/or meeting facilities for your needs. Mala Ikena Room Ideally situated on the lobby level of the hotel, the Mala Ikena Room is well suited for intimate gatherings and meetings easily accessible for your guests. This room accommodates up to 86 persons in theater style in approximately 900 square feet of space. Moku ola Ballroom Offering a panoramic view of the Hamakua coastline, Mauna Kea and the Island of Moku ola makes this banquet room an ideal setting for weddings, business meetings or any special gathering you ve planned for. A generous 5,000 square feet of space along with an equally spacious outdoor foyer accommodates gatherings up to 310 guests. The ballroom is completely air-conditioned and can be partitioned into two separate conference rooms with separate entryways for breakaway meeting sessions. Moku ola Ball Room No. 1 When the dividers are employed the Moku ola Ballroom is transformed into two separate banquet rooms. Located on the oceanfront, Moku ola No. 1 is adjacent to the outdoor foyer and provides approximately 2,500 square feet of meeting space. Moku ola Ball Room No. 2 Also situated on the oceanfront adjacent to the hotel s swimming pool is Moku ola Ballroom No. 2 with an approximate available square footage of 2,500. Moku ola Breezeway The attractive open-air, covered breezeway adjacent to the Moku ola Ballroom offers a unique, oceanfront space for event registration, meeting breaks, cocktail service for private parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions. It can be reserved as an addition to the Moku ola Ballroom or as an event location itself. Queen s Court Restaurant The renovated Queen s Court Restaurant is located on the lobby level of the hotel and features a panoramic view of Hilo Bay with majestic Mauna Kea as a backdrop. It is available for private luncheons, meetings and other events having food and beverage requirements within the existing set-up. The restaurant is a spacious 5,600 square feet in size and is well-suited for accommodating meeting groups up to 178. Page 3

(Example) The Mala Ikena Room rental fee is $350, if a group spends over $525 in food and beverages the room fee is discounted to $175. If a group doubles the room rental charge with their food and beverage purchases, the room fee is waived. (Example) If the group were to spend over $700 in food and beverages in the Mala Ikena, the room fee is waived. Only the $175 set-up fee applies. **Discounts are based solely on food and beverage revenue before service charges and taxes. No other fees such as bartender fees, etc. apply toward purchases. **Set-up fee only applies when room fees are waived. Page 4

We currently have Internet Service through Oceanic Cable s Hospitality Service. Oceanic provides a customized version of Microsoft s Internet Explorer (IE) browser to navigate the web. Any type of browser, like Netscape, Safari, etc. will work perfectly fine with the service, however, technical support is only provided for Internet Explorer.
