On Saturday, February 21, 2015, St. John Parish 4-H is hosting 4-H Fashion and Fun. This exciting event will give 4-H ers the opportunity to actually sew items that they can wear. In addition, 4-H members will take the glamorous stroll down the cat walk just as today s top super models do during New York s Fashion Week. If you plan on attending this event, complete and submit the attached registration form by Friday, February 13, H Fashion and Fun Show location TBA!!! 2 P A G E 2 4-H NIGHT WITH THE PELICANS The LSU AgCenter is pleased to announce that they have teamed up with the New Orleans Pelicans this year. This year will be bigger and better than ever. The 4-H Night with the Pelicans basketball game will be Friday, February 27, 2015 versus the Miami Heat. Tickets will be $25.00 for balcony packages, or $63.00 for lower packages this year with $2.50 going to the Parish Foundation and $2.50 going to the 4-H Foundation. 4-H members will have an opportunity to participate in several on court programs again this year; nevertheless, more details about the fan experiences will be sent in the coming weeks. Any 4-H Members who are interested in attending this event must complete and submit the attached registration form along with the payment for tickets. Please make either checks or money orders payable to the St. John Parish 4-H Foundation. The payment must be turned in no later than, Friday, January 16, CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS EVENT!!!!! 4-H PET SHOW Calling all 4-H ers with four legged friends!!! The St. John Parish 4-H office welcomes all dogs, cats, fish, and lizards to participate in our Pet Show. You don t want to miss this event. The annual Pet Show is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, H SUMMER CAMP Experience the Fun!!! Camp Grant Walker Date: TBA St. John 4-H members had a blast at 4-H Camp this summer. Camp is a wonderful time to meet new people, have a lot of fun and participate in various activities. The activity tracks include: Dramatic Arts, Get Ready, get SET - Science, Engineering & Technology, Outdoor Adventures, Explore Louisiana: Wetlands, Wildlife, and YOU!, Food & Fitness: Get Ready, Get Set, Get Fit!, & Hunter s Safety Certification!!! If you are interested in camp please inform your 4-H School leaders!!! LET S GET SIGNED UP FOR SUMMER CAMP 2015!!!!
