1 After School Classes At Loma Vista Fall Session Classes will begin September 27 These fee-based classes are completely optional. To participate, please register and pay by September 23 Registration: To register, complete the attached Registration Form (one for each student), attach check(s) payable to the course provider(s), and return the Registration Form and check to the student s teacher by 8:30am Sept 23. Signups are on a first come, first serve basis. If a minimum number of students do not register, the class may be cancelled, in which case your payment will be refunded. Payment: Payment is due at the time of registration. Each class will require a separate check, made payable to the course provider. Please note that there will be NO REFUNDS after the class begins or for missed classes. Class Times: Classes are scheduled to begin at 2:45. Students should report to their After School Class classroom directly after their regular school day and wait for the After School Class to begin. Parents need to be prompt in picking up their children at the end of their After School Class time. PLEASE PICK YOUR STUDENT UP AT THE CLASSROOM DOOR. Supervision for students after the class ends is not available. Any snacks must be eaten outside the classrooms. School Holidays: If a class falls on a school holiday, class will not be held that day and will be made up on additional weeks. The focus of each class will be to learn a number of the basic elements of art while they utilize their own ideas to form an original work of art. Dry Mediums (oil pastels, colored pencils, markers) and wet medium (watercolors, watercolor pencils) can also be introduced. OC Art Studios is owned by local artist and Nickelodeon illustrator Larissa Marantz. Her credits include the Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, Lazytown, Rugrats All Grown Up, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Her paintings have been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York City and Washington D.C. Her Teaching experience includes Laguna College of Art and Design, California State University Fullerton, The Animation Academy in Burbank and McCoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts. All classes are taught by professional artists.
4 This fun-filled, high energy workshop is an opportunity for the beginning dancer to learn the basics of jazz movement and hiphop technique. Especially crafted for the young learner, each music-filled session presents a fun way to learn beginning dance moves while increasing stamina, self-esteem and coordination through rhythmic exercise. Class instructor Mr. Maddi is a noted dance teaching expert who has toured professionally with artists including Michael Jackson! Learn a sport you can play for a lifetime in a positive, social, fun school setting. We provide junior racquets and balls and set up tennis nets right on your playground. Students are grouped by age and we have a rainy day class plan too! Playing tennis improves hand-eye coordination, physical fitness, concentration, socialization, sportsmanship, agility and self-esteem. Continuing and new students are welcome.
