1 Good morning, Attached you will find the information pertaining to the Fall 2014 HBCU College Tour hosted by the of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.. This tour will enable some of those seniors unsure of their college choices the opportunity to visit a few select schools. This tour also allows for Juniors and sophomores a chance to visit schools early to help with their decision as to where they may want to attend as well. We always have a few freshmen who want the experience of seeing what college looks like and get off to an early start in preparation. As we know, planning and preparation go hand in hand. If your interest is in math and science then you will be extremely happy to see North Carolina A&T University. If Communications and Journalism is to your liking then Howard University offers a spectacular program. The other schools have outstanding curriculums as well so don't be left behind. We will also attend VA State's Homecoming Football Game as they play Lincoln University of PA. We as always are expecting to have a wonderful time and hope that you will join us. 3 Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc Germantown Avenue Philadelphia, PA (215) Kappa Alpha Psi HBCU Fall College Tour 2014 WHAT: HBCU Fall 14 College Tour with a desire to visit, meet and speak with college recruiters about admission and academic requirements. Any net gain will be turned over to the chapter exchequer. WHEN: The tour begins on Thursday, October 23 rd and is a two (2) night, three (3) day trip with the return being Saturday evening the 25 th. WHERE: The tour bus will take us to Howard, VA State, VA Union, NC Central, NC A&T and Bennett (depending on number of female students) AUXILIARY ACTIVITIES: Possible Greek Step Show and Homecoming Football Game. VA State vs- Lincoln University. TRIP PARTICIPATION COST: $400/Person PROJECTED ATTENDANCE: We are securing a maximum 55/56 passenger bus with comfortable seating, bathroom and DVD player. It is anticipated that we will have students, 9-10 chaperones from Kappa Alpha Psi, and several female chaperones.

5 Historic Black College Tour 2014 Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Dear Student, On behalf of the of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., we would like to welcome you to our 2014 Fall Historically Black College Tour. We have prepared a tour which we hope you will find both enjoyable and memorable but most of all, an experience in educational excellence. This tour has been designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to visit historically black colleges and universities. We hope you walk away from this tour with a clear vision that college can be a reality for you and not just a dream. We simply ask that you conduct yourself as a young adult and respect the rules and regulations designed for your safety. Most of all, we want you to enjoy this opportunity to see these historic institutions of higher learning, talk with students, ask questions of faculty members and obtain information on admissions and financial aid. Attached for your review and signatures by both you and your parent or guardian is a registration form, a release and waiver, and rules and regulations. Students should dress comfortably yet appropriately. Please refrain from wearing short skirts, baggy pants without belts and midriff/revealing tops. Comfortable footwear is essential due to the amount of walking involved. Also, students may wish to bring along a pen/pencil, a notepad and a camera if desired. We will spend the first night of October 23 rd in the Durham, North Carolina area. Our second night stay will be in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. Separate accommodations for male students/chaperones and female students/chaperones have been arranged. Bring a change of clothing, wash cloth/towel and toiletries in one small overnight bag.
