1 Applications due May 15 Grants announced June 5 Day of service August 13 Students work with our players On-court recognition and in-game recognition As part of the Summer Team Up Challenge, will award $40,000 to area nonprofits participating in service learning. Based on how your organization s current programming aligns with s mission to engage young people to enrich our community, your organization may receive funding and incentives from. The incentives may include game tickets, player appearances, and much more! Your organization will receive funding based on the determination of the Executive Review Committee in conjunction with our Junior Review Committee, which is made up of previous Team Up Challenge participants. You may receive partial funding or your full request. Your program should be active from June August, but can be a yearlong program as well. Grantees will be expected to submit benchmark reports and participate in s Day of Service: Team Up Day on August 13, Fifty percent of the grant will be awarded upon selection and the remaining fifty percent will be awarded upon completion of the Team Up Day. 5 Memorandum of Understanding 2015 Summer Team Up Challenge As a grant recipient for s 2015 Summer Team Up Challenge, we acknowledge and commit to the following. We understand that failure to return this signed form will result in a refund of the grant. We will submit receipt information regarding the use of the grant along with the benchmark form on time. If the use of the money does not serve the project we understand that we may be required to refund the misallocation of funds. We will return the signed NBA media releases for all participants in the Team Up Challenge students, captains and other personnel excepting those participants under state care. We understand that failure to do so will result in an inability to go on court during halftime and an inability to be eligible for player appearances. We will participate in s Team Up Day of service on August 13, We will allow Team Up Challenge partners and other staff from and Spurs Sports & Entertainment on site during Summer Team Up Challenge appearances or work days, including Team Up Day. We commit to accommodating site visits by both and the youth that serve on the Team Up Challenge junior review committee. We will not publicize a player appearance in advance of their attending an event, nor during the event. We understand that this is for the players safety.
