Ihaveastrongrecordofsuccesswithregardtobuildingenrollment.Specifically,Iwasabletoincrease enrollmentatcollegeofthemainlandby19percentoverthepreviousyearafterexperiencingincreases ofonlyabouttwoorthreepercentpriortomyarrival.morerecently,whileoverallenrollmentinnorth CarolinaisdecliningIhavebeenabletoincreaseenrollmentbyeightpercent.Iengagedtheentire collegecommunity,revisedcollegeprocesses,alignededucationalandworkforcetrainingprograms,and updatedcollegestrategiestoaccomplishthisgoal.furthermore,atbothcollegeofthemainlandand RoanokeQChowanCommunityCollegeIprovidedtheleadershipthatledtothedevelopmentofOnQline and/orweekendcollegeinordertomakeobtainingahighqualitydegreeorcertificationmore convenientforstudentswhofinditdifficulttoattendtraditionalclasses. DevelopingaworldQclasscommunitycollegewilldemandadditionalfinancialresourcesbeyond traditionalsourcesandihaveaprovenfundraisingrecord.whileservingaspresidentofcollegeofthe MainlandinTexasCity,Texas,andChancellorofSOWELAinLakeCharles,Louisiana,andPresidentof RoanokeQChowanCommunityCollegeIwasandcontinuetobedirectlyinvolvedwiththeCollege Foundationsandfundraising.Iwasinstrumentalinincreasingannualcontributionsbymorethan100, 000aftermyfirstyearatCollegeoftheMainland.Ialsomadethestrategicdecisiontoestablisha GrantsDepartmentthatincreasedgrantdollarsbynearly1millionthefirstyearofdevelopment. Roanoke-Chowan Community College: a small, single campus, two year community college providing workforce and liberal arts certificates and associate degrees. The college serves Bertie, Hertford, and Northampton Counties comprising more than 75,000 people with an operational budget of 12 million. The annual enrollment is 900 curriculum and 1800 continuing education students. President: Chief Executive Officer providing visionary leadership for college operations, budgeting, planning and college development.
