CARTER Glen 028 la m ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE New Jersey Performing Arts Center 2013-present Vice President for Arts Education Responsible for the strategic leadership, external relations and administrative management of NJPAC s arts education programs. Proactively seek out and extend relationships with foundations, corporations, all levels of government and individuals interested in funding arts education. Enhance and leverage existing relationships with major funders to support the program s future goals. Provide inspired thinking and knowledgeable guidance in the on-going development, evaluation and re-alignment of arts education activities so that they are effective with targeted audiences and compelling to school administrators, teachers and funders. Ensure that NJPAC remains current in arts education by constant monitoring of program effectiveness, seeking timely information on constituents needs and keeping abreast of innovations in arts education. Serve as an active spokesperson for arts education and bring national attention to NJPAC in this area. Manage the arts education team and direct their efforts. Oversee the development, implementation and continuous monitoring of the arts education budget. 2 student affairs, community outreach, social media, health and counseling services, career services, educational outreach, the first-time college experience, behavioral intervention team, and disability support services. Manage student affairs including student activities, residence life, orientation, judicial affairs, student organizations, civic engagement, international student affairs, and diversity programs. Lead nonperformance aspects of jazz studies including faculty supervision, student advising, curricular review, international touring, development, marketing and admissions. Liaise with the board on intellectual property, branding, jazz studies and community outreach programs. Supervise sixty faculty members and 36 staff members and consultants. Supporting the Mission Served as a member of the Planning for the 21 st Century committee Guide and support faculty, academic and artistic excellence Co-chair jazz faculty council Created, implemented and supervise diversity initiatives resulting in a 10% increase of under-represented students and a 100% increase in underrepresented faculty members Created, co-implemented and supervise the Juilliard Colloquium program for first-time college students For the jazz department, lead the development and sustainability of global partnerships in the UK, Korea, Japan, Costa Rica, Colombia, El Salvador, Spain and Guatemala and domestic partnerships in Utah, Nevada, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia Created the Juilliard orientation program designed to introduce students to artistic life in New York City Lead international teaching and performing residencies Created and implemented jazz studies at Juilliard. Spearheaded the accreditation of the new program Created student affairs program including the design, construction and opening of a new residence hall Serve as a founding executive board member of The Academy, a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School and Weill Music Academy Improving Quality Guide jazz and outreach faculty governance to facilitate curricular review Oversee evaluation of curriculum and teaching effectiveness for jazz and outreach Collaborate with faculty to implement curricular improvements
