Sponsor professional development events for developmental education faculty. Chair the ASC Council, ASC Writing Committee, and ASC Advisors and Managers Committee. Direct a Title III grant titled Project Seeds of Success, which focuses on strengthening the institution through the enhancement of developmental education students success and retention. 2 Direct a Developmental Education Initiative grant titled Redesigning Developmental Writing... Reinvigorating Student Learning, which focuses on the redesign and modularization of the developmental writing curriculum. Serve as chair of the ENC 0025 Redesign Team. Coordinate the ASC Modular Pilot for reading, writing, and math. Collaborate with the campuses on the Master Student program, a peer tutoring program for developmental education students. Coordinate Project Math Success, a statewide collaboration on the redesign/modularization of elementary algebra. Contribute to local and state dialogues focused on college and career readiness and curricular alignment. Participate in Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.) Item Development and Review Workshops for the Division of Florida Colleges. Serve as the college-wide integrative leader for the Library/Learning Commons: Co-chair the LLC Executive and General Councils Collaborate with a librarian team on the LIS 1000/1002 curriculum redesign project. Chair the ad hoc College Completion Advisory Board. Chair the Time and Attendance Data Tracking Committee, responsible for procuring and implementing a time and attendance system in the College s Library/Learning Commons and Academic Success Centers. Serve on Quality Enhancement Plan teams. Serve as a College Compliance Certificate writer with a focus on academic support services for SACS. Led the curriculum development process for SLS 1101: College Orientation, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Jacksonville, (July 2010-February 2011) Interim Associate Dean, Downtown Campus, Library Learning Commons Supervised a staff of 40 professional, career, and student employees. Collaborated with Academic Success Center team to launch the Downtown Campus Academic Success Center in its inaugural year. Oversaw daily operations of the Library, Learning Center, and Academic Success Center. Developed a student orientation and training program for the Learning Center and Academic Success Center. Hired and trained new career employees in the Learning Center and Library. Assisted with the creation of a policy and procedural manual for the Academic Success Center. Established a new facility for the Foreign Language Lab and guidelines for its usage. Supervised the production of a video on the Downtown Campus s Library/Learning Commons. Coordinated the college-wide SLS 1101: College Orientation (First Class) project involving curriculum development; course development; instructional technology; professional development; communication with students, faculty, and staff; class encoding and scheduling; and financial aid processes. Provided college-wide instructional leadership in the creation of campus-based Academic Success Centers a lab-enhanced model for developmental education involving curriculum and instruction, professional development, and software procurement. Coordinated the college-wide Master Student Program, a modified version of supplemental instruction, for developmental education students. Administered an annual operating budget. Supervised a classified staff member. Published a quarterly newsletter titled Voices in Developmental Education. Coordinated the Bridges to College Composition Program, an articulation effort between the college and area school district.
