1 Dallas Regional Conference and Competitions Event Friday, February 28th Sunday March 2nd PROGRAM CONTENT AND TOPICS (Please refer to the master schedule for all activities) Jack Mundy, Dallas Regional Conference and Competitions Conference Chair. Jack is the owner of Ener-Gard Energy Products Inc. of Burlington, Ontario (Canada) and he has been in the window film business for over 35 years. He is known for being active in projects and activities that promote the industry and has always been instrumental in representing the industry in the Canadian market. He serves on the IWFA Board of Directors and chairs the dealer-focused Members Action Committee (MAC) of the IWFA. In 2013 the IWFA made the decision to bring the organization to the members. This event is part of our commitment and there will be more to come. I am proud to be a member of the IWFA and hope you will join me too if you are not part of the team. 2 Friday, February 28th 9:00 am NOON IWFA Accreditation Classes and Testing Hall of Fame The best way to differentiate yourself and your business is with independent accreditation from the IWFA. The courses and accreditation include: Automotive Film Specialist Safety & Security Film Specialist Solar Control Specialist Working with an IWFA accredited dealer Advanced Solar Control Specialist assures the public that the specialist has completed testing on the proper uses and technical aspects of window film products, states Darrell Smith, executive director of the IWFA. Darrell will lead the Accreditation Classes and Testing program. Convention Center 10:00 am Exhibitor Demonstration Solar Gard Gary Benoit of Solar Gard will showcase and cover the tips and techniques of their computer cutting software program. 2:00 pm Exhibitor Demonstration: Eastman s Tricks of the Trade Chris Howell, Marketing Technical Services Rep, Eastman Chemical Company, will offer a demonstration of window film installation techniques and tricks of the trade; including snapping, the tugging heat form method, and FilmOn vs. detergent. These techniques will help you shrink film to its maximum limitation on more challenging back windows and promote better bond to the glass. Viewers will leave the demo with the knowledge to implement these unique tricks of the trade.

3 Saturday March 1 st 8:30 am Opening Remarks & Welcome! Welcome to the IWFA Regional Conference and Competitions! World Cup John Parker, president of the IWFA and owner of National Security and Window Filming Company will discuss why he s proud to be a member of the IWFA and how the association is helping the membership to achieve greater success. He has been in the window film business for nearly 20 years and has been active in the IWFA since 2004, serving as secretary & president. 9:00 am Seminar: Glass Technology World Cup Urmilla Sowell, PE, Technical Director, Glass Association of North America (GANA) Urmilla Sowell will be speaking on the newest trends in technology changes and uses of architectural glass, so the audience can better understand the glazings of the future. Her presentation will also cover some of the more innovative uses of architectural glazing emerging in the marketplace. She will discuss challenges, which both the glass and window film industry might face in dealing with non-standard glazings encountered in field use. She will also share her view of the value of the increased communications between the glass and window film industry, as well as some of the questions and doubts, which still may remain. Urmilla is the Technical Director of GANA. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock TX, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Urmilla was previously employed by Hurricane Test Laboratory, LLC, where she served as the Assistant Operations Manager after serving as a Test Engineer and Technical Writer for that company. She joined GANA in She also serves as the GANA liaison to the Protective Glazing Council (PGC) and is currently the PGC s President.

4 10:00 am Seminar: PPF Business Opportunities World Series The presentation will be conducted by Dan McPhail, Vice President of Sales for PremiumShield and Max Stutz, Sales Manager of CCL Designs (Nano Fusion). Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a product that is very complementary to the automotive window film side of the business. The market potential for PPF is significant, and it offers some excellent profit opportunities. Learn how to either add PPF to your existing automotive film business or as a separate new business. Find out about the profit potential, cutting software programs that are available, and resources that will help you make PPF successful for you and your business. 11:00 am Seminar: Dealer Roundtables - World Cup Led by Harry Rahman and Paul Tauchar Harry Rahman, Director, Business Development - Development, Huper Optik USA Paul Tauchar, CSI, CDT, Owner at Solar Control of Jackson, MS and TD Solutions Harry and Paul will delve straight into the day-to-day challenges faced by many dealers / installers. Audience members are encouraged to ask Harry and Paul questions that challenge many in the industry related to sales, customer service, quoting, time management and much more! Both Harry and Paul are strong contributors to the IWFA and are actively involved in the dealer-focused Members Action Committee.

5 NOON 1:00 pm KEYNOTE SESSION World Series Sara Meaney, Managing Director, BVK. Sara will discuss how to build a strategy that helps your business to be invited in, rather than breaking through. This is about creating and managing powerful and enduring relationships between clients and their best customers. Learn how to make integrated campaigns work, by working well together- across media, across disciplines, and across the conference room table. Sara is managing director at BVK, one of the country s largest independent agencies, with specialization in outdoor, tourism, healthcare and public service marketing. Sara was recognized in the Business Journal s Forty under 40 class of 2010, was named Milwaukee s Fittest Executive in 2011 and A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison, Sara has completed executive education programs in Business Marketing Strategy at Harvard Business School and Integrated Marketing Communications at Kellogg School of Management. When she s not busy filling up her free time with other things, Sara is hard at work learning to play the guitar, playing bar league volleyball, seeking out the next karaoke spot to occupy or exploring the world with her two young daughters. 7 11:15 am Seminar: New technologies and the window film market-world Cup Mark Imbrock Owner of EDTM, Inc. (Electronic Design To Market) Mark will be discussing trends and new technologies in the glass and window industry, and how they could impact the window film markets. As a result of some of these newer technologies, he will discuss proper field assessment tools to use on new projects, to ensure proper film choices are made, and to reduce errors. He will also discuss how to transform your sales team into sales technicians to provide a valuable service to your clients on each and every sales call.
