ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN :- The Environment Management Plan (EMP) is required to ensure sustainable development in the area of the proposed project. Hence it needs to be all encompassive plan for which the industry, Government, Regulating agencies like Pollution Control Board working in the region and more importantly the population of the area need to extend their co-operation and contribution. It has been evaluated that the project area will not be affected significantly with proposed project. measures at the source level and an overall Management Plan at the site level are elicited so as to improve the surrounding environment. The following mitigation measures will be taken in order to synchronize the economic development of the project area with the environmental protection of the region. The construction phase impacts are mostly short term restricted to the plot area and not envisaged on the larger scale. In the operational phase the environmental impacts are due to continuous operation of the project, hence, the emphasis in the Environment Management Plan (EMP) is to minimize such impacts. The emphasis on the EMP development is on the following. * measures for each of the activities causing the environmental impact. * Monitoring plans for checking activities and environmental parameters and monitoring responsibilities * Role responsibilities and resource allocation for monitoring. Following sections describes the environment management plan proposed for site clearing and mining phases. MITIGATION MEASURES :- Each of the activities during production phase is critically reviewed for suggestion of mitigation measures. Based on this the Table 1 to 6 gives the mitigation measures for the activities considered to be causing significant environmental impacts during production phase of every year.

Table :- 1 Environment Management Plan :- Activity Environmental Site Clearing, Pollmarking and OB removal Air Water spraying PPE's is being used Land Well maintained vehicles are used. Metalled Road for vehicle movement. Top soil will be conserved and be utilized for riparian greenbelt. Water -- Noise -- Table :- 2 Environment Management Plan :- Activity Environmental Mining process Air Water sprinkling on haul roads. Plantation in periphery and along haul roads. Transportation by covered trucks. Ensure uses of personal protective equipments. (PPE's) Water No waste water management.

Excavation is restricted up to the water depth or 3 m, whichever is less, so as to prevent lowering of water table in riparian area. Land Adequate setback distance will be maintained to prevent bank erosion. No in-stream mining will be carried out. Manage proper storage of quarry solid wastes. Noise Use of only PUC certified vehicles. Only trained / approved transporters is given work for the transportation of sand. Ensure proper maintenance of machinery to reduce noise level. Table :- 3 Environment Management Plan :- Handling and Transportation of Waste materials and products.

Activity Environmental Storage of all the Waste materials and products. Air Water Separate demarcated area for storage of wastes. Land Proper facilities to prevent rain / storm water contamination. Metalled Road for vehicle movement to reduce fugitive emission. Land Top soil is being conserved and will be utilized for greenbelt on riparian area. Adequate setback distance is being maintained for prevention of bank erosion. Table :- 4 Environment Management Plan :- Other Facilities :- Activity Environmental Toilets Water Proper sewage disposal is ensured.

Development and maintenance of green belt Direct / Indirect Employment Air. Land Socioissue economic Development and maintenance of green belt will be ensured. Policy of local employment is continued. Environmental Monitoring Plan :- Environment monitoring plan is given in table 5 as follows : Table No. 5 Sr.No. Activity Schedule Air Pollution Monitoring 1 Ambient air monitoring of parameters specified by GPCB in their air consents from time to time within the Proposed premises Once every Calendar Year Water Pollution Monitoring 1 No waste water Produced N.A. Solid Waste Generation Monitoring / Record Keeping 1 Records of generation of quarry spoil and mud form particles of minerals and record of their dispatch to approved users. To be updated once in a month Expenditure on Environmental Matters :- The following table gives the expenditure to be incurred by Proponent on environmental matters. Details on transportation route & Transportation route is in two parts. measures proposed for control of fugitive emission during transportation Approximate 0.20 km of length is in river bed which is of 4 m width and 0.48 km route is of kutcha road which is of 4 m width. Water sprinkling on kutcha road will be done twice a day for control of fugitive emission during transportation. Only covered trucks will be used for transportation. Vehicle speed will be restricted to 15 Km/Hour on kutcha road to reduce fugitive emission. 30 Details on transportation route 0.20 km route is on river bed. In table area/road sides in at least 20% of lease area, numbers & types of species and budgetary outlay for the same. no. 7 of EMP, proponent described the species and budgetary outlay for the riparian green belt and plantation on both the side of kutcha road. 31. Plan for restoration /reclamation The project is for excavation of sand only up to limited depth. During the monsoon, rain water reclaims pits by sediment transport. There is no need to make plan for restoration/ reclamation. The process of restoration/reclamation done by nature itself.
