Grade 4 s attended a fun day in January at Oak Hammock Marsh, celebrating Festival du Voyageur Day. Students rotated through various activities both inside and out. -making bannock over an open fire -learning about the beaver and the fur trade -Voyageur games - snowshoeing The weather cooperated which made it a lovely day outside. On the way home, the buses made a quick stop to see visit William Kurelek Park. We trudged through some very deep snowdrifts, but managed to look at the wonderful examples of Mr. Kurelek s paintings. We hope parents will stop by in the summer months to learn a bit more about this world famous artist. Mrs. T. Comeau Grade 4 Festival du Voyageur February 17th 26th
