Where were you born? I was born in Hong Kong. 4. When were you born? I was born on June 7 th (seventh), When is your birthday? My birthday is on June 7 th (seventh). 6. Where do you live? I live in Tuen Mun. 7. What is your address? I live at On Ting Estate. [Note: students should supply own answer.] 8. Do you have any brothers or sisters? I have one brother and one sister. My sister s name is Jane, and she is ten years old. My brother s name is Bob, and he is eight years old. 9. Which school do you attend? I go to Lui Cheung Kwong Primary School. 10. What kind of school is it? It s a subsidized, full-day school. 11. Where is your school? It s at On Ting Estate. 12. How do you go to school? I walk to school./i ride the bus to school. 13. Describe your school. Well, it s an old school, quite small and not much space. 1

2 14. Do you like your school? Yes, very much. Although it s old and not too big, it is a good school. It has a nice music room, a hall, and a playground. 15. What about your teachers? Do you like them? Yes, they are all very kind. I ve learned a lot from them. 16. What subjects do you like the most? I like English the most. 17. Why? Because it s interesting. I like reading, and English is important for communicating with people and being successful. 18. What subject do you dislike most? I dislike math the most because I m not good at it. 19. What are your hobbies? I like to read and practice the piano. 20. What do you usually do on Sundays or holidays? I usually do my homework and visit my grandparents on Sundays. 21. Who is your guardian? My guardians are my parents. 22. What is your father s occupation? My father is a salesman. He works in an office and sells paper. 23. What about your mother? Does she work? No, my mother stays at home. She doesn t work. 24. How many people are in your family? There are five members of my family: me, my father, my mother, my brother, and my sister. 25. Do you speak English at home? Yes, I speak it with my brother and my sister. 26. What would you like to be when you grow up? When I grow up, I would like to be a doctor. 2

I want to study here because I know it is a good school. It has an excellent reputation and I want to get the best education I can. 29. How s the weather today? It s very cold and cloudy today. 30. What would you do if you had a lot of money? If I had a lot of money, I would travel all around the world. I would go to Europe and the United States. I would also donate to the poor. 33. Which season do you like best? Why? I like summer best. I prefer warm weather over cold weather, and during the summer, I can play outside. 34. What s the weather like in spring? It s warm in spring. My whole family went to the hospital with my mother. She had the baby and we were all so happy. I am very glad to have my brother. 11. How do you keep your body healthy? I play lots of sports and eat good food. I never eat at McDonald s! 12. Where do you want to travel most? I want to travel to the United States. It is such a big country and so different from Hong Kong. I would love to see it. 13. Which book do you like? I like to read the Harry Potter books. 14. What can you do in Hong Kong? There are many things to do in Hong Kong. You can go shopping, hiking, or see many of our famous tourist spots. 15. What can you eat in Hong Kong? Hong Kong has a lot of different foods. You can eat Western food, sushi, Indian food, and all kinds of Chinese food. My favorite is dim sum. 16. Where can you play in Hong Kong? There are many parks and playgrounds in Hong Kong.
