2015 TxANA Spring Meeting Registration Brochure March 13-15, 2015 The Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Inc. will be hosting their 2015 Spring Meeting at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas from March 13-15, 2015. Your participation is encouraged! Contributions to association leadership can be made by every member. This session explores the range of leadership contributions CRNAs can make at the local, state and national level and explore the implications for governance should a member be interested. Learning Objectives Include: Assessing potential individual contributions to TxANA/AANA leadership; Identifying future association leadership opportunities and an action plan to add competencies and engage Leadership; and Recognizing that governance is different than committee or task force work or being popular, and what a member should be working on should they aspire to a board of director s seat. Saturday, March 14, 2015 7:30 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Specialty Seminar -- Regional Blocks with Ultrasound Speakers TBA Additional Registration Fee Applies / Limited to 30 Registrants. This course will have a lecture on the regional block programs and how to successfully place catheters as well as visualize the anatomy. The course will be an educational opportunity to scan live models to visualize the tissue layers for a more precise block. This will be a very interactive and hands course. Learning Objectives Include: Enhancing your teams ultrasound guided techniques and placements skills for regional anesthesia on the following performances: o TAP block placements; o Upper extremity block placements; and o Lower extremity blocks placements. Conference Attire: Conference attire is business casual. Please remember the hotel meeting room temperatures are difficult to regulate. Please bring a jacket or sweater to insure your personal comfort. Handouts: Handouts or outlines will be available online prior to the meeting, you will be sent an email with the password when the handouts are available. Registrants should download or print the handouts and bring to the meeting. The meeting room will not have internet access. CE Certificates: Continuing Education/Attendance Certificates will be emailed to all participants within 30- days of the meeting. Students who return the CE/Attendance Documentation form will be eligible to receive a registration scholarship ($75), based upon availability. Refund Policy: Cancellations must be in writing and received by 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2015 for a full refund minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Specialty seminar is limited and will be accepted on a space available basis, an additional fee applies to this seminar. Additional persons will be charged at a rate of $30.00 per person, per night, with a maximum of four (4) persons per guestroom. Hotel shall charge the individual attendee one (1) night s guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax for cancellations within seventy-two hours of the scheduled arrival date or failure of the individual to check-in on the scheduled arrival date. Any remaining nights of a noshow reservation will be canceled. It is policy to require a credit card or cash deposit for incidental charges.
