Overnight parking is available for the reduced fee of $10 for self-parking. Valet parking services are available at an additional cost to the attendee. Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, notify us at least seven days before the course and we will issue a refund (minus $25 administration fee). No-shows or cancellations received fewer than seven days prior to the course are ineligible for a refund. Credit card, check and departmental accounts are acceptable for payment. Course Description The purpose of this conference is to discuss a variety of pediatric hematology/oncology diagnoses, current treatment practices, nursing considerations, and to provide an understanding of future treatment trends being researched and utilized. Objectives Following the education, the learner will be able to: Identify the key diagnostic principles, treatment modalities, and current trends in the practice of pediatric hematology and oncology. Describe nursing considerations in the treatment of pediatric hematology/oncology patients, including emergent and supportive care. Discuss current research and future treatment implications involving bone marrow transplants, innovative therapies, and the transition to adult care, survivorship, or palliation.
