EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SALE OF ITEMS ON AS-IS-WHERE-IS BASIS AND AS-IS-WHAT-IS BASIS National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) having its registered office at 1001A, B wing, 10th Floor, The Capital, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai - 400 051,is the umbrella organization for all retail payment systems in the country. Incorporated as a public limited company under Section 8 of Companies Act, 2013 (earlier Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956) and promoted by Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) and ten core promoter banks comprising public, private and foreign banks, NPCI has been operating various retail payment services like National Financial Switch, Interbank Mobile Payment System, Cheque Truncation System, Electronic Benefit Transfer via NACH, etc. NPCI proposes to sell old office automation items, furniture and scrap on as-iswhere-is basis and on as-is-what-is basis ( Items ) and seeks Expressions of Interest ( EOI ) from parties dealing in old office items, furniture, scrap, metal, wood etc.( bidders ) Bidders interested in buying of the items through e-auction (forward auction) are invited to send their EOI to our registered office, furnishing details like name of the organisation, contact details etc. Prescribed template is enclosed. This is an expression of interest and not an invitation to bid. The EOI should be delivered in a sealed envelope and the envelope shall be super scribed with EOI for Sale of Items on As-is-where-is basis and as-is-what-is basis Otherwise the offer is liable to be considered null and void at any stage as per the decision of NPCI. Details of the e-auction will be shared with the selected bidders. Any costs incurred by the participant towards participating in any stage of this EOI/e-auction shall be borne by the organization only and NPCI shall not be liable to pay such costs. Selection of the organization shall be based on the details submitted in the EOI and bidding will be through e-auction (forward auction) process at the discretion of NPCI. The items can be inspected by the prospective buyers on specific dates as mentioned in the EOI. Reserve price will be declared before the commencement of e-auction(forward auction). Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): The bidders have to submit the bid earnest money of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) by way of Demand Draft (DD) along with the Expression of Interest Form. Failure or omission to deposit or keep deposited the Earnest Money shall disqualify the Bidder at the discretion of NPCI. No interest shall be payable by NPCI in respect of such deposited Earnest Money. The Earnest Money of an unsuccessful Bidder shall be refunded within 30 days from the date of declaring the final decision on the bids. However, the EMD amount submitted by the successful bidder shall be adjusted towards the final amount payable by the bidder. The EMD amount shall be forfeited in case the successful Bidder, withdraws/revokes his offer after the Letter of Acceptance is issued or fails to make payment within the specified date given in the Letter of Acceptance. Notwithstanding anything contained above, NPCI reserves the right to reject any or all EOI offers and give consideration to bids other than those offered in response to this advertisement.
