When do we use the Global Shapers Community Logo? The Global Shapers Community logo is for use only : - by the Head Office of the Global Shapers Community Foundation in Geneva (the Global Shapers Team) - by Hubs for the purpose of branding communitywide activities and events (e.g. SHAPE events); always with the approval of the Global Shapers Team NB: No use of the World Economic Forum logo is allowed 3
When do we use the Hub logo? Hub logo For the communication of any Hub activity/collaboration/event Elements in which the Hub logo can be used for: -for the production of material related to Hub events and projects (eg. banners, nametags, brochures etc.) -to brand items and documents that are for non-commercial use and are intended to be distributed as part of Hub projects or events. 4
When do we use the Hub logo? Hub logo The Hub Logo cannot be used: - on material prepared by other institutions/organizations without the approval of the Global Shapers Team. - to promote personal interests and interests that are not sanctioned by the Hub - Any political activity without prior approval of the Global Shapers Team. 5
How do we use the GS Community and GS Hub logo along with supporters/partners logos? Hub Logo The Hub logo should only be used along with other brand logo if and only if there is clear connection to an approved Hub activity, such as support or collaboration on Hub project or event. Community Logo Where valid (e.g. Community events like SHAPE that may also have local event sponsors), the Global Shapers Community Logo may be used along with other brand logos. The host Hub is committed to share any creative (eg. banners, posters, t-shirts, brochures etc.), in draft or final version prior to production with the respective person in the Global Shapers Team in Geneva for sign-off. Global and Regional Community Partners logos Community Partners logos may be used for community-wide activities and events; always with the approval of the Global Shapers Team. The host Hub is committed to share any creative, in draft or final version prior to production for sign-off. 6
How do we use the GS Community and GS Hub logo along with supporters/partners logos? In all communication material intended for use in Hub activities and events but also in community-wide activities and events (e.g. SHAPE), there are 3 categories of logos for use: 1. Primary logo (Global Shapers Community and the Hub logo) 2. Logos of honour (Community Partners logos, where applicable) 3. Acknowledgment logos (Local supporters logos)* In any materials produced the use of the logos from the categories 2 and 3 are only allowed once per material. *please note that all supporters must be approved beforehand 7

Banner SHAPE Events Or similar community-wide activities or events SHAPE Africa Bold Solution 10th-12th April, 2013 The Global Shapers Community Partner Primary logo Community Logo and/or Hub logo Logos of Honour Regional, National Community Partners (where applicable) In all communitywide activities and events it is essential to acknowledge the Community Partners in the basic branding elements. This event is hosted with the support of Logo 1 Logo 2 Logo 3 Logo 4 Logo 5 Acknowledgment logos NB: Distance from the ground of the last logo should be no smaller than 30cm. 9
Primary logo and supporters/partners logos Category 1: The primary logo-global Shapers identity That is designated for the Global Shapers Community logo (for communitywide activities) and the Hub logo (for Hub activities). It should be featured in all official/unofficial communication released by the Hub. Category 2: Logos to honour for their support - the Global and Regional Community Partners In communication material used for community-wide activities, the Global and where applicable- the Regional or National Community Partners logos should be featured with the indication Global Community Partners and Regional Community Partners respectively, however the indication is not mandatory. Their acknowledgment however, is essential as their support makes the Community s existence possible. 10
Primary logo and supporters/partners logos Category 3: Acknowledgement - Local supporters Whether a once-off or a more mid/long-term support, any locally approved sponsors should be mentioned in all Hub communication as Local Supporters. Local Supporters can be categorized depending : a. on the activity that they provide support for (eg. local event supporter, local project supporter etc). b. per specialization category (eg. media supporter, hospitality supporter, transportation supporter) c. the actual level of their support (eg. platinum supporter for the ones that have contributed the most, golden supporters for the tier 2 etc.). The above mentioned acknowledgments should be made in a manner that is non-commercial and does not overlap with the Hub logo. 11
Ideas of elements to brand during events organized by Hubs and the Community No supporter brochure, promotional material distribution or direct promotion set-up is allowed in the events venues. Recommended elements to use/produce to provide acknowledgment for both official Community Partner but also event supporters include: a. Website of the event b. acknowledgment in the official event brochure c. roll-up banners (number depending in the size of the venue), d. name tags e. special acknowledgment slides to use as screen saver during breaks f. back side of city/venue maps (where applicable) g. special mobile app for the event (where applicable) 12

Please review the guidelines and note restrictions: use of the Hub logo ONLY. 2. Prepare draft creatives 3. Share draft creatives with GS Team (Partnership Manager and Community Manager copied) if Partner logos are included. Please take comments or feedback into account in future versions. 13
We are organizing a SHAPE or City Series event- What should we do? SHAPE Events Essential Steps in the SHAPE events materials preparation process 1. Go through the guidelines and take into account the restrictions 2. Prepare draft creatives 3. Share with GS Team. If recommendations/comments are provided, adjust. 4. At least 2 weeks before the event, share final creative with GS Team (Partnership Manager and Community Manager copied) for sign-off before going into production. NB: No material should be produced without the sign-off from the GS Team 14
