2 British Council IELTS Partners The British Council IELTS Partnership Programme is a partnership scheme for organisations that support test delivery and candidate recruitment for IELTS with British Council. To recognise the importance of our partners and our appreciation of them, we offer a range of benefits to institutions that become our official partners. There are currently 3 tiers of British Council IELTS Partners: Member, Gold and Platinum. Your partnership tier depends on the number of candidates you register with us and will be reviewed yearly. All registered institutions and organisations that: 1) register IELTS candidates with the British Council; and 2) register the minimum of 6 IELTS candidates with us over a 12 month period are eligible enjoy the benefits of the British Council IELTS Partnership Scheme. 4 Your Questions Answered We have just started registering candidates with the British Council. How do we participate in the scheme? Your institution is still eligible for the scheme, but will be required to register at least 3 candidates with the British Council within the first six months, and at least 6 candidates (in total) within the first twelve months. We are already registering our students for IELTS with the British Council. How do we become British Council IELTS partners? What are the prerequisites to becoming a partner? All institutions and organisations are invited to sign an agreement with the British Council Singapore. Private Education Institutions (PEIs) are required to be registered with the Council for Private Education; those that enrol international students must have attained EduTrust certification. What is the validity of the partnership agreement? The partnership is awarded based on the number of candidate registrations over the course of a fiscal year and is valid for two years. Partnership status will be reviewed at the end of the validity period. When and how will we receive the membership benefits? As the partnership is valid for two years, partners can enjoy benefits throughout the two year period. Will partnership benefits be the same every year? Partnership benefits are not fixed and we will regularly review them in consultation with our partners. We aim to improve our range of benefits on a continual basis. Where will the partnership agreement be valid? The British Council IELTS Partnership Scheme only applies to companies who register IELTS candidates with the British Council Singapore office. This agreement is therefore only valid in Singapore and does not extend beyond Singapore. Page 4 of 5
