A minimum of a BA Honours degree in statistics, mathematical statistics or demography. An applicant in possession of a master s degree in any of the above subjects will be an added advantage. An LLB. Degree or alternatively a recognised four years Degree in Law. A minimum of four years proven appropriate managerial experience at Middle Management level within the specific field of responsibility. The incumbent must have knowledge of systems, processes, procedures, policies and legislations relevant to the field of the post, such as the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS), Public Service Act, National Strategic Intelligence Act, Secret Services Act, Prevention of Organised Crime Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, South African Police Service Act, legislation pertaining to interception of communications and undercover operations. The Intelligence Services Oversight Act, as well as the Public Finance Management Act. The incumbent must have a good understanding of the intelligence environment in the SAPS and prescripts relevant to the core functions of the post, an understanding of the functioning of the SAPS, and the broader Intelligence environment, including oversight over intelligence activities, be a hard worker, be prepared to work long hours and travel extensively.
