22138VIC Certificate II in Plumbing (Preapprenticeship) A plumbing pre-apprenticeship will introduce you to the plumbing industry and make you more attractive to prospective employers. By completing a pre-apprenticeship you will gain: - Industry knowledge - Workplace exposure - Hands-on experience An application and interview based selection process is involved. Asbestos removal Class A Three day program designed to provide knowledge and practical skills for the safe removal of friable asbestos containing material. It covers Part 4.3 of the OHS Regulations and would meet the needs of removal personnel and supervisors to competently remove friable asbestos. Note: This program does not result in a licence to remove asbestos or asbestos containing materials. It covers the skills and knowledge required to safely isolate and disconnect electrical appliances then reconnect and test appliances. This course does not cover rectifying faults. The units addressed in this course are; UEENEEP012A (composite appliances/ air conditioners) UEENEEP014A (water heaters) UEENEEP015A (motors) Participants may select two units. Oxy-Acetylene welding and cutting can cause severe injury and damage if not maintained in a safe working condition. This short course has been developed to familiarise participants with: - Testing of Flashback Arrestors using an approved testing device - Testing of Oxygen and Acetylene hoses, regulators and handpieces. At the completion of the course the participants will have covered the operation of a flashback arrestor tester and testing requirements of oxy-acetylene equipment.
