It requires that everyone, without exception, within the organisation is made aware of the importance of fire safety and given knowledge of; and the chance to practice basic fire safety procedures. As you may be aware the most significant reform in the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 is the requirement for occupiers of high occupancy buildings, as defined under the Building Fire Regulation 2008, to appoint and train a Fire Safety Adviser. April / May 30 & 1 July 14 & 15 October 28 & 29 Public Course: $700 per participant Contact What is a Fire Safety Adviser? A FSA is person who holds a building fire safety qualification for an approved building fire safety course, issued within the last 3 years. The approved building fire safety course comprises 8 units of competency in Workplace Emergency Response within the Australian Quality Training Framework. 11 Version 2.0 Issue Date: December 2014 Fire Safety Adviser Refresher Training PUAWER001A-008A The Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 requires high occupancy buildings to appoint a Fire Safety Adviser. 1 day Course Times 8.30am- 4.30pm May 5 August 25 November 12 {Evidence of completion of the Initial 2 day FSA training program will need to be provided} Public Course: $360 per participant Contact The Fire Safety Adviser has a responsibility to: be familiar with all aspects of building fire safety; provide advice to the occupier to ensure that appropriate emergency planning has taken place; and provide advice to the occupier to ensure that appropriate instruction is carried out at the prescribed times and intervals. This program is designed to refresh a Fire Safety Advisers skills and knowledge which are required to perform the role. What is a Fire Safety Adviser? A Fire Safety Adviser is one who has completed an approved building fire safety course within the last 3 years.
