TED and TEDx Ideas Worth Spreading TED acts as a global platform for ideas worth spreading. Originally sprung from a conference about Technology, Entertainment and Design, the topics addressed now far exceed these fields. The website TED.com hosts 1000+ amazing talks recorded from official TED and TEDx conferences by leaders around the world. TEDx conferences are independently organized events that connect with specific communities in the spirit of TED. TEDx is a unique TEDx event held specifically for grantees and alumni of the Program. Thus far, two events have been held in Cambridge, Mass. (April 2012) and Frankfurt, Germany (Nov 2012).
TEDx and Ideas Worth Spreading: a common goal Young alumni across several nations came together in 2011 to establish TEDx, a program that aspires to advance brilliant ideas, promote personal connections and collaboration, and inspire action. In doing so, we hope to celebrate and honor Senator 's vision. TED and share and develop the concept of ideas worth spreading by facilitating innovative, inspired, and powerful thinking via mutual exchange across cultures, disciplines, and generations. TEDx aims to achieve community growth by bringing together leaders, businesses, and academics to jointly address challenges facing humanity.
