Agilent 490 MicroGC The Agilent 490 MicroGC is the fifth generation rugged and compact analyzer for gas quality analysis in the laboratory, online / at-line and in the field.
Modular and ready-to-go Two bench-top cabinets are available the DUAL for 1 or 2 channels and the QUAD for 1 to 4 GC channels. Every channel is a complete, miniaturized GC, with independently controlled Electronic Gas Control Chip Injector GC Column Micro TCD injection volume, column oven temperature and carrier gas.
Designed for flexibility and ease-of-use The Agilent 490 MicroGC provides maximum flexibility and customization: Sampling via sample pump or continuous flow Heated or non-heated injector/sample line Up to 2 different sample inlets Sample inlet at the rear or front Up to 2 different carrier gases Column back flush option
The Micro Gasifier expands the range of samples you can analyze The Micro Gasifier provides controlled evaporation of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (NGA). In addition, high pressure can be reduced without the creation of cold spots.
The field case provides on-the-go measurements The field case is compact in size and weight, and includes carrier gas supply and battery pack.
Use accessories more conveniently with the integrated accessory bracket The MicroGC accessory bracket is an on-board universal mounting platform for accessories such as stream selector valve, Micro Gasifier, Genie membrane filters, pressure regulator and sample relief valve.
For on-line analysis, a 19 rack mounted version is available The 490 and 490-PRO MicroGCs are also available in a 19 rack-mounted chassis. Sampling and sample conditioning devices, such as stream selection valves and Genie membrane filters, can be mounted inside the housing.
490-PRO MicroGC: no local operator required The 490-PRO MicroGC does not require an external computer to generate data and results. It features on-board data collection, integration and results calculation. User defined information is automatically sent to an external control system.

The 490 MicroGC looks nice, but I m not looking to lease anything. Why should I call Quantum Analytics? 65
Quantum Analytics Solutions The 490 MicroGC looks nice, but I m not looking to lease anything. Why should I call Quantum Analytics? Quantum can help by providing the right solution for your lab. Since we have multiple solutions for addressing gas analysis, we can help explain the advantages, and more importantly, the disadvantages, of each analytical technique. 66
Quantum Analytics Solutions How do I know that the MicroGC is the right instrument for my analysis? Quantum can run your samples BEFORE you buy the system, to be sure that the MicroGC is the correct option. The demo 490 MicroGC that will be located in the Quantum Technical Center will be a 4 channel GC with Mole Sieve 5A, Porous Polymer U, Alumina and a CP-Sil 5 modules. On this configuration, and by using different carrier gases, temperature and pressure options, we should be able to run the vast majority of gas analyses that the 490 MicroGC is capable of running. 67
Quantum Analytics Solutions I like the idea of those Standard Analyzers, except I want the system configured differently. Is that possible? Quantum can provide a complete analyzertype solution. Even if the analysis in not one of the standard Agilent configurations. Quantum can provide the correct configuration, a method built specifically for your analysis, checked out on your standards and samples. Training can also be provided in our Tech Center or at your location. 68
Quantum Analytics Solutions I m still not sure about the MicroGC. If the 490 MicroGC is not the solution, we can help guide you to the correct solution. We at Quantum want to be your gas phase solution provider. We have multiple solutions from multiple vendors to help you make the right decision. 69
