Sponsorship Package 1

Letter from Co-Chairs Dear valued supporters, We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in Chasing Sustainability 2015. It is through your collaboration and support that we are able to improve our conference every year and inspire change in the business leaders of tomorrow. This year, we are extremely excited to announce the partnership between CUS Sustainability and Net Impact. By combining our resources and expertise, we hope to break free from the divided boundaries of BCom and MBA and give the students an opportunity to learn from one another. Our mission is to inspire change. By bringing in accomplished business leaders who have innovated sustainably, we hope to instigate a call to action towards the students. That is, we dare them to carve a path for themselves. We dare them to innovate. By exploring this package, we hope that you understand more about our conference and what we are trying to accomplish. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for taking the time to consider our sponsorship proposal and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely, Terence Chan Rebecca Yang Clea Stone 2

Our Story is a student-run business sustainability group within the Commerce Undergraduate Society (CUS), at the University of British Columbia s Sauder School of Business. We strive to educate Sauder students about sustainability and to foster genuine commitment by organizing meaningful events, campaigns, and programs. At CUS Sustainability, we believe that sustainability and business should not be separate entities, as companies around the world are constantly reinventing, innovating, and seeking new ways to make their practices more integrated with sustainability initiatives. is a non - profit Organization with student and Professional Members using the power of business to create a more social and environmentally Sustainable World. Our Mission is to make a positive impact on society by growing and strengthening a community of new leaders who use business to improve the world. Our club brings together like - minded Individuals in lively discussions around sustainability, curriculum development, Planning and Hosting the Annual UBC Net Impact Conference, and promoting opportunities to learn and volunteer in the community. This year CUS Sustainability and Net Impact join together to present the Chasing Sustainability Conference with a shared goal to Educate, Inspire, and Connect. 3

The Conference Chasing Sustainability is the annual flagship for CUS Sustainability - a full-day conference packed with interactive workshops, networking sessions, and discussions. The Net Impact conference is a studentrun conference organized by Sauder MBA students bringing together students and business leaders to discuss current issues in sustainable businesses. In hopes of meeting the growing interest on the topic of sustainability with larger and higher-quality events, Chasing Sustainability will be combined with the UBC Net Impact Conference this year. With the collaboration of Chasing Sustainability and Net Impact, we hope to connect Sauder undergraduate and MBA students with business leaders to engage in discussions around business and sustainability. Our chosen theme for this year is Dare to Innovate. On Friday October 30th, we aim to shed light on sustainability as a driving force behind innovation in business practices, models, processes, and products. We hope to inspire students to think outside of the box and drive changes in business practices that produce both social and economic value. 4

Conference Objectives Educate The workshop speakers and company delegates will consist of notable business professionals in the local community. They will use the power of stories to educate our students on how they have integrated sustainability into their personal and professional lives. This will allow students to create their own future success stories. Through learning at the interactive workshops and meeting the current generation of innovators, students will leave the conference thinking about sustainable innovation and how to integrate it with their professional careers. We dare them to become the next generation of innovators and inspire them to make a difference in their chosen fields. Inspire Connect The relationships developed and maintained from networking at Chasing Sustainability are considered one of the best perks about attending the conference. Not only do students have the opportunity to learn more about careers in sustainability, but relationships developed at the conference have often led to recruitment. By bringing in students and business leaders alike, we hope to bridge the gap between the academic and professional world. 5 Connect
