OVERVIEW This certified CME conference will review state-of-the-art treatment for urologic malignancies (prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer). This conference will feature live robotic cases, an interactive panel discussion led by clinical experts in urologic oncology, and an international contingent of urologic surgeons, who will provide global perspectives on urologic oncology and robotic surgery. This program is designed for clinicians with either limited or no experience in robotic procedures and oncologists and surgeons with advanced experience in robotic surgery who would like to expand their clinical knowledge as well as their professional network. TARGET AUDIENCE The target audience includes physicians and health care professionals who treat patients with urologic cancer and have an interest in robotic surgery. GAP ANALYSIS Optimal management of urologic malignancies often requires a multi-disciplinary team approach. Utilization of robotic surgery for management of urologic cancers has increased dramatically due to the myriad of benefits it offers both doctor and patient. Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery on the Beach 2015 will showcase the latest perspectives on management of prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer. In addition to live robotic surgeries, expert faculty will be on hand to present cutting edge information on the management of oncological diseases in conjunction with the latest developments in medical, interventional, and robotic therapeutic options. Attendees will be given ample opportunity to raise questions and engage in discussions related to the challenges they confront daily in the current healthcare environment. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to: Explain current treatment strategies for prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer. Understand the surgical technique of robotic radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, and cystectomy. Define appropriate patient selection criteria and indications for robotic surgery. Identify potential complications associated with robotic surgery including prevention, early recognition, and management. CREDIT DESIGNATION The Leonard M. designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. ACCREDITATION The Leonard M. is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
