Course Completion & Commitment Level Nara Training & Assessing recommends completing all face to face workshops over the duration of the program. This will require an additional 1-2 hours of extra study each evening to be able to finish the program within 3 months. If you are requiring time off from your employment to complete this program, it is highly suggested that you request addition days off to enable you to complete all assessments without work distractions. Recognition of Prior Learning Nara Training & Assessing offers recognition of prior learning through evidencing of current competency levels from previous experience or through credit transfer, when upgrading from a previous package. TAE40110 is composed of 10 units in total (7 core and 3 elective units) of which some units may be covered by credit transfer from the existing qualification where evidence of currency in training and assessment of these units may be demonstrated. Candidates must be able to demonstrate current vocational competence to deliver and assess units from the TAE10 Training and Education Training Package. This means that, unless the candidate has recent training and assessment experience, they might need to undergo further training or experience to gain currency. When applying for the assessment only pathway (RPL) the onus is on the candidate to provide sufficient and current evidence within the 3 month period for RPL assessment. Where partial credits are awarded the candidate will be required to provide further evidence to cover the remaining elements not covered or undergo skills gap training where necessary. Any skills gap training will incur extra costs based on numbers of units of competency. Please discuss this with your assessor before commencement if you think this might be an issue to discuss current costs and training dates.
TAE40110 Qualification Overview v12 Page 8 Upgrade to TAE40110 When updating from BSZ to TAA or TAE, candidates will be required to provide evidence which will be used to support this skill gap and support their currency as a trainer and assessor. You may be required to attend workshops for these units of competency if your evidence is not current or sufficient to be used as RPL. Cost of this depends on number of units to upgrade. Contact our Front Desk to discuss this option. Assessment Only Completion The RPL process is a 3 month program. Please allow at least 2 weeks for the assessment of your evidence. This means that the evidence must be provided in an easy to read format 2 weeks prior to completion to allow for assessment and certification. Course completion date: 3 months from enrolment date. For full information on the RPL and upgrade process see the Recognition of Prior Learning Booklet. If this has not been sent to you, please contact Nara Training and Assessing to request a copy.
