Which student/employer cohorts provided high/low response rates 2. How did response rates compare with previous years (if applicable) Lowest response rates came from our online learners. While learner survey responses were low they came from learners across the majority of qualifications on our scope so can be viewed as an accurate sample. Response rates were similar to those received in 2012 SURVEY INFORMATION FEEDBACK What were the expected or unexpected findings from the survey feedback. Expected findings were the positive responses received from both learner and employers regarding the high level of support and assistance provided by our trainers and mentors. The easy access to Moodle and the online tutorials, combined with learner s ability to complete the course in their own time, were also positive responses that we expected and received. We did not receive any unexpected responses. Negative responses in relation to Blackboard maintenance issues, course duration and assessment timelines were identified within the duration of the learners qualifications as our trainers and mentors were in constant communication with their learners. What does the survey feedback tell you about your organisation s performance? The feedback survey data for 2013 tells us that our trainers and mentors provide a highly level of customer support which indicates that our recruitment and screening of employers is robust. Positive feedback regarding simple access to Moodle, combined with the clear presentation and understandable language of our online tutorials, theory and assessment documentation indicates that we are providing a learning environment that meets Learner expectations.

5 IMPROVEMENT ACTIONS What preventive or corrective actions have you implemented in response to the feedback? Blackboard maintenance was address by providing links in Moodle that learners could use to access Blackboard. Issues relating to course duration and assessment deadlines were reviewed on a case by case scenario and extension provided to Learners were trainers and mentors deemed it appropriate. Validation and moderation activities also identified corrective actions if they are required. How will/do you monitor the effectiveness of these actions? Monitoring actions implemented is done via ongoing feedback and communication between trainers, mentors, learners and employers to ensure that issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner. Scheduled validation and moderation activities Maintenance and continuous improvement to both Moodle and Blackboard application.
