PURPOSE OF THE POSITION This position is responsible for providing technical expertise across a broad crosssection of Counties Manukau Health, to design and deliver high quality data warehousing solutions. The incumbent will take a key role in the Data Warehousing team within Ko Awatea, tasked with development of an organisational data warehouse. The Data Warehouse Developer will work with stakeholders across all hospital clinical services as well as stakeholders in primary care to design and implement fit for purpose solutions. This will form the platform for high quality visualisation utilising Enterprise Business Intelligence tools. The Data Warehouse developer will be using industry standard modelling tools and take part in design sessions with external consultants during the first roll-out of this project. Qualification Bachelor degree in IT or Computer Science Formal IT Development Training Experience Experience in a technical role within a large organisation Experience of working in a team Experience of developing solutions autonomously Experience of working on projects and developing and implementing new solutions Exposure to OLAP tools Technical analysis, design and documentation Post graduate degree in relevant field Microsoft Technical Certification (SQL Server) Experience of working with healthcare systems and data processes Skills/Knowledge/ Behaviour Proficient with the Microsoft BI tools, particularly SSIS and SSAS Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and t- SQL. A good understanding of the Data Warehousing capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server. Understanding of dimensional modelling approaches, particularly with industry standards such as Kimball or Inmon Advanced knowledge of SQL programming/development ETL development with enterprise tools SQL reporting services Experienced in writing and maintaining technical documentation Strong analytical skills Strong experience of source control practice Performance tuning and basic DBA functions on Microsoft SQL Server.
