1 Instant Spam Cntrl - we make IT wrk! - the easy guide t yur antispam slutin Instant Spam Cntrl is easy t wrk with and easy letting wrk fr yu. 97 percent f all spam is autmatically quarantined by the system. The remaining three percent yu can chse t handle in three ways: 1) Yu d nthing: Yu receive an cntaining a simple list f the s the system has quarantined. Yu can chse t delete this quarantine list r just leave it in yur inbx. Yu can als chse nt t received the quarantine list, hw this is dne will be described later in this guide. s that have been quarantined are autmatically deleted after 30 days. 2) Yu take actin lcally: Yu can train the spam filter. In this way yu can custmize it and indicate which s yu want t receive and which yu dn t. 3) Yu take actin glbally: By classifying s yu train the system in a general way, s that spam is slwly and securely added t the list f unwanted s (see further descriptin later). Instant Spam Cntrl is a web service, s yu have t be cnnected t the internet t use it. T gain access t yur quarantine inbx d the fllwing: Use the link n the bttm f a quarantine t g directly t the inbx. If this link desn t frward yu in the crrect manner, the link is expired. If this happens g t click the tab Custmer lgin and chse SpamCntrl lgin. Type yur address in the field Username and click n Create new passwrd. Shrtly hereafter yu ll receive an cntaining a new link t the quarantine inbx.

2 Step-by-step guide - we make IT wrk! If yu chse number 1: Yu d nthing : Generally, if yu dn t want t categrize yur s, yu can alter the frequency f the quarantine reprt r ttally disable it. If yu change yur mind, yu can enable the quarantine reprt at any time. As a standard setting yu ll receive ne quarantine reprt per day. D the fllwing: Use the link already described t g t yur quarantine inbx. On the tp f the screen yu ll see tw tabs Quarantine Inbx and Settings. Click n Settings and chse Quarantine Settings see the screensht belw. In the middle the frequency f the quarantine reprt can be set. Optins are Daily, Weekly and Never. When yu ve chsen yur preference remember t click Save Settings. When dne click Lg Off in the upper right crner and clse the page. If yu chse number 2: Yu take actin lcally : If, by mistake, an frm ne f yur assciates has been quarantined yu can deliver r even white list the t ensure that this desn t happen again.

Click Whitelist if yur intentin is that all s frm this sender are t be delivered t yu in the future. T delete the click Delete. Remember t pinpint the yu want t deal with. Yu can select multiple s r select the whle list by clicking the bx n the tp. Quarantined s are autmatically deleted after 30 days. If yu manually want t add addresses t the whitelist, click the Settings tab.

4 - we make IT wrk! Whitelisting means, that yu ll receive all s frm the yu indicate regardless f its cntent and blacklisting vice versa. T add an address t the whitelist type in the addressin the upper frm and click Add. T add an address t the blacklist use the frm belw.

5 - we make IT wrk! TIP: If yu want t white- r blacklist a whle dmain (fr instance all s frm icg.dk regardless f prefix) yu simply type in everything in the address. See example belw.

6 - we make IT wrk! If yu chse number 3: Yu take actin glbally : Yu can actively cntribute t minimizing the amunt f spam s. It s an everlasting prcess and has n immediate effect n yur quarantine inbx but yu ll be part f making the Barracuda prducts better fr all its users ver the wrld. When enugh users like yu have classified an address it ll be added t the spam filter s list. D the fllwing t train the glbal filter: Use the link already described t g t yur quarantine inbx. Here yu need t classify the e- mail as being spam r nt. In the example belw all s are classified as being spam. When the relevant s are marked yu click either Classify as spam r Classify as NOT spam. Yur input will then be added t the glbal filter that is the base f yur antispam slutin. Spam s are autmatically deleted when the prcess is dne.
