2 The Laboratory of Environmental Cartography and Hydrogeological Modelling (CAMILab) is a structure of the Department of Informa cs, Modelling, Electronics and System Engineering (DIMES) of University of Calabria and it works since The loca on is the cube 41 / b, fi h and seventh floors. Since January 2005, CAMILab is a Centre of Competence of the Na onal Department of Civil Protec on, on the basis of the Prime Minister's Decree of 25/02/2004; this tle was confirmed on 2007 and The Laboratory par cipates in ac vi es of Major Risks Na onal Commission and various ini a ves such as Iononrischio. Moreover, since 2014 CAMILab is a member of ICL (Interna onal Consor um on Landslides), scien fic organiza on which has in its partnership UNESCO, WMO, FAO and UN/ISDR. The dense network of partnerships comprises Public Administra ons and Italian and interna onal research centers. Partnerships with CONSORZIO INTERUNIVERSITARIO PER L IDROLOGIA The main goal of CAMILab is the integra on of research, teaching and consul ng ac vi es, developed in the fields of competence. CAMILab promotes the systema c and organized transfer of the results, obtained from several research ac vi es, to the Administra ons and technicians working in the field of civil protec on and soil conserva on. In par cular, the working group of CAMILab: Ÿ Develops mathema cal simula on models, at slope and basin scale, for the main phenomena of interest in the study of hydrological cycle and mi ga on of hydrogeological risk (heavy rainfall events, river floods, landslides,...) Ÿ Creates and manages systems for monitoring and environmental control; Ÿ Produce thema c maps, databases and environmental informa on systems; Ÿ Develops advanced training and lifelong learning ac vi es in the fields of competence.
