2 COLLABORATION The Greater Portland Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (GPC-AACN) and the Oregon Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (OSCCM) celebrate 25 years of successful collaboration in providing a multidisciplinary regional educational symposium. The conference is co-chaired by a GPC-AACN member and the OSCCM President. The planning process has fostered shared responsibility and mutual respect of its nurse and physician members. OSCCM has been instrumental in establishing the medical content of the symposium, assisting in identifying potential symposium faculty and offering speakers from within our ranks. The GPC-AACN provides the organizational structure and logistical support required to coordinate the conference. The symposium reflects true collaboration of our two organizations.
