8 LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR WELCOME! As far as summers go, the summer of 2016 will go down as one that was, crazy, hot, busy, chaotic, but most importantly, FUN! Hopefully you all took advantage the many different activities this go around; we are so excited to see what the future will bring. Thank you for supporting us, participating and enjoying what very well could be the last summer of the Town of Eaton Recreation Department prior to making the transition to the Eaton Area Park and Recreation District. In past guides, I have taken this opportunity to talk about our new programs and highlight returning activities. For this guide, I would rather use this platform to recognize the great staff we have here at Eaton Rec. Without the time and effort of these young professionals, the incredible amount and quality of our programming simply would not happen. Our expansion in programming and participation has created growth of over 2000 since I cannot thank or speak highly enough of the many staff I am fortunate enough to work alongside every day. We have worked through obstacles, learned from mistakes, and created a bright future for Eaton Recreation, regardless of special district or department affiliation. Please take time if given the opportunity to thank those who make all of our activities and programming such a positive experience for all. Like mentioned above, our entire staff contributes so much to our success, but special recognition of a couple is more than appropriate. Annita Alvarez & Caryl Abeyta Thank you for all that you contribute to our department is so many different roles. Your loyalty, professionalism, and dedication to serving the community of Eaton is unmatched and no amount of thanks or credit given would ever be enough! As a team, we look forward to providing a professional, organized, and fun slate of fall programming once again. Registration will begin on Monday, August 1! As always, please continue to provide us with your valuable feedback, questions, comments, or concerns.
